Howdy, sheriff. I know you an' I haven't always got along so well, but I've been feelin' somethin' weird's been up recently, an' I wondered if you had any thoughts on a potenshal role list.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 11-Jul-23 05:30 PM
Howdy! Yep, somethin' mighty peculiar is happenin' 'round these parts. Regrettably, I ain't got no particular notions 'bout that there role list.
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 11-Jul-23 05:33 PM
See, I'm not so sure on some of those "town miscellaneous" roles, but I have an inkling there might be some sort of particularly smart wolf hangin' round the edges of town. May be that there's a more cowardly one too, if you ask me, but them's just my suspishions.
17:35
An' for "town investigative", feel like we've got maybe some fortune teller lurkin' around, judgin' by the rumours. Not heard nothin' bout any so "killing" roles, though.

Well, now, that might hold some truth to it. I reckon we can likely dismiss a reclusive one from the equation 'cause havin' a duo pack with a reclusive one would be mighty feeble at such low odds. A smart and craven wolf does seem to make sense, I reckon.
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 11-Jul-23 05:36 PM
Sames to me. Maybe the last one's not so speshul, though.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 11-Jul-23 05:37 PM
I reckon there could be a sneaky one
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 11-Jul-23 05:37 PM
Ooh, may be that you're right about that one. Hadn't considered that for sure.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 11-Jul-23 05:38 PM
Smart, craven and common wolves make for a slightly feeble pack

Tom Crust the Sheriff 11-Jul-23 05:38 PM
I reckon you might be onto somethin' there. Buck Eyed Ethan seems to be followin' a mighty traditional route, so havin' a fortune teller and an assassin in the mix could rightly make sense.
17:39
Though an assassin seems too mighty
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 11-Jul-23 05:40 PM
Indeeds. I did consider some sort of aura sensor bein' our wanderin' sighted one, but then I thought it may well be not so strong with our mix of roles.
17:40
Did think about maybe a priest or some executioner, but both seemed rather too good to be seen round the likes of our hamlet.
17:41
Assassins... far shadier. More fittin'.

Tom Crust the Sheriff 11-Jul-23 05:42 PM
In my humble opinion, the only wolves that seem to add up are the smart, the sneaky, the common and the young one. If we happen to have ourselves a Fortune Teller among us, it's like as not to be the sneaky one, if you catch my drift. Otherwise, we might be lookin' at the young one.

Tom Crust the Sheriff 11-Jul-23 05:43 PM
I do reckon a Barber would fit right well in terms of the theme we got goin' on.
17:43
Though maybe not from a balance perspective
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 11-Jul-23 05:43 PM
May wells be right, you, but I do wonder then if this town'll have the bullets behind it to rid ourselves of any troublemakers.
17:45
An' gots to say that if we have a stealthier wolf hangin' round, seems impossible we wouldn't be havin' some regular old citizens gettin' caught in our crossfire here.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 11-Jul-23 05:45 PM
Hmm, I was thinkin' the Barber could indeed prove to be quite potent due to the revealing ability. However, now that you menion it, considering they can only perform a single kill, it just might strike a fair balance after all, when we look at it from that perspective.
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 11-Jul-23 05:47 PM
Things to me is, we seem to be facing four adversaries, by my count, an' most likely just five true townies by time mornin' comes. Jus' one kill seems not so much to me when considerin' that, regardless of whatever unaligned persons be hangin' about.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 11-Jul-23 05:47 PM
Hm, that is true
17:48
Well, reckon I might want to reconsider the notion of havin' a Barber in the mix, seem it wouldn't work out. (edited)
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 11-Jul-23 05:49 PM
Though I s'pose if there were any children about, we may be seein' a weaker killin' role.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 11-Jul-23 05:49 PM
Seems like the Assassin might be our next best wager, partner. It fits the bill quite nicely and could bring some excitement to the game.

Tom Crust the Sheriff 11-Jul-23 05:49 PM
Oh, I s'pose that's true. Child is sort of a killin' role substitute.
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 11-Jul-23 05:51 PM
Indeed it is, but no guarantees there's any around, so I think you're right 'bout that assassin.
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 12-Jul-23 06:43 PM
Strange that Mister Dubois is claimin' Citizen so soon and early - an odd choice, don'tcha think? 'Speshully when there might be some outsiders sneakin' around, or so we said.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 12-Jul-23 06:45 PM
Now ain't that somethin' intriguing? Curiously enough, they also privately claimed the role of Cit to me as well, mind you, right after my public claim, without any promptin'.
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 12-Jul-23 06:45 PM
Mayhaps it's me bein' overly cautious, but I'm in a mind not to be trustin' that Dubois, knowin' this.
18:47
Should also be noted that the Chief started votin' you for marshall right after I claimed, but took it off sometime after - though hasn't made any further votes since.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 12-Jul-23 06:50 PM
Ain't that peculiar? To be truthful I didn't see it with my own eyes however
18:50
Oh wait the Chief is Luffy not Federick
18:50
HUH
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 12-Jul-23 06:50 PM
It was real odd.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 12-Jul-23 06:51 PM
Well now, the chief didn't even utter a single word, did they? That then is mighty peculiar, if you ask me.
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 12-Jul-23 06:53 PM
Well, he did say jus' one thing - all 'bout the "matter of trustworthiness". Not sure what that means, quite frankly, since I don't believe he has any more reason to trust you than me.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 12-Jul-23 06:54 PM
Oh, yeah it's up there. He did start messagin' me now, but that was only a few moments ago, I'd assume quite after the votin' and unvotin' (edited)
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 12-Jul-23 06:55 PM
Quite after indeed. I promise you, even if he was some investin' role, he couldn't have any reason to distrust me based on that - I'm quite innocent all round.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 12-Jul-23 06:57 PM
What's interesin' is that both the Chief and the Colonel seem to be supportin' me over you - Even if one of them were to be an investigatin' role (havin' seen you as scum), it couldn't be both.
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 12-Jul-23 06:57 PM
Quite, quite. Seems they're not wantin' a ranger in charge.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 12-Jul-23 06:59 PM
Indeed
19:00
Now, this here's got me wonderin' why they reckon a Ranger poses a greater threat than a Journalist. Truth be told, the difference in power ain't all that substantial, not by a long shot.
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 12-Jul-23 07:03 PM
Sure isn't - but it's my thinkin' that gettin' rid of a Journalist early is more beneficial to them than gettin' rid of one late, and somethin' of the opposite for Ranger.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 12-Jul-23 07:04 PM
Hm, that could be true
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 12-Jul-23 07:05 PM
Thinkin' on Mister Dubois' claim more, seems to me that there's no benefit to a Citizen claimin' early at all - hell, might make it easier for the wolves to find someone more important. But a Sneakin' Wolf... well, they could want to be baitin' a check.
19:06
Not likin' it much at all. You think it's worth mentionin' to 'im?
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 12-Jul-23 07:06 PM
Yeah, I reckon the idea that he'd be a sneaky wolf has some truth to it
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 12-Jul-23 07:07 PM
See, we could always take a bit of a risk and get rid of 'im today, all sudden-like. But I'm not sure if that risk is worth it.

He's suggestin' we pretend to lynch luffy to me right at this moment
Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 12-Jul-23 07:09 PM

Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 12-Jul-23 07:09 PM

19:09

Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 12-Jul-23 07:09 PM
Now, it's not unheard of to put some pressure on a fella to force some discushion. Done it myself a coupla times or so.
19:10
Huh. Odder an' odder.
19:10
If he an' the Chief agree on you bein' better, why ask you to put the pressure on the Chief? Seems to me some sort of scheme.
Avatar
Tom Crust the Sheriff 12-Jul-23 07:11 PM
Yup, he's castin' his vote for Luffy and takin' the abstain option now.

Avatar
Bandito Leader Jay 12-Jul-23 09:20 PM

Tom Crust the Sheriff 12-Jul-23 09:22 PM
But as a plain ol' townie, Rick would be keen on seein' us take down the Chef, I reckon.

There's also the matter that our teller mayn't be real, but who's to know.
