The Devout Villager is a normal citizen, with one exception: they can never change pumpkin.
Details
When a pumpkin changing ability affects the Devout Villager, it fails. If the infecting evil pumpkin tries to infect the devout villager the infection fails and nothing happens. If a vampire tries to demonize the Devout Villager it happens normally, however if the Devout Villager is attacked they will die instead of turning undead.
There is a change in the way that Devout Villager works that is not in the role description.
When a Devout Villager is demonised and attacked they survive.
The status of being Demonised blocks the attack but the Devout Villager's powers blocks the role change so they just don't die. You can still kill them in any way you can kill a Demonised player e.g. lynching.
