Basics

The Assistant may select a player to redirect one werewolf action to. The action cannot be an attack.

Details

The Assistant may target a player. They can update this target once per phase, with 1 emergency change to be used whenever the Assistant wants. The Assistant may choose to target nobody, which will stop their power from being used. When the Assistant is affected by a wolfish player's power, that is not an attack, it will be redirected to the target without the wolfish player being informed. The Assistant's redirection power can only be used once per game. The Assistant is informed when their power is used, but they are not told what ability they redirected.

the setup lists the categories of roles rather than the roles themselves. citizen is a tm (town miscellaneous) role, so may be ingame

So the role list here is what we call a partial role list. That means they give us information about what roles are in the game but dont state the exact roles. The Information provided is role categories, if you want i can explain each category. But you can display all roles in a category by typing ;+name (ex ;tg) (edited)

It's more or less intuitive

K (killing) - can kill or provide a kill somehow G (group) - has a group chat with other roles I (investigative) - active ability that is investigate P (power) - active ability that doesn't fit into any of the above M (Miscellaneous) - has no ability or only a passive/targeting ability

@Lula Talisola don't worry about being "mechanically clueless"! you can always ask other players to explain things to you, but your mentor is generally your one-stop call for explanations on mechanics and basically everything else. if he isn't around, you can always ping @Host and we can help too! wwr has a lot of mechanics that can be pretty daunting at first, but lightpulp is right - if you immerse yourself in the game and the discussions you'll pick things up super quickly! if you do end up feeling like the game isn't for you, we can always sub you out, but i promise it's super fun when you get used to it!! I believe its fun... its just the barrier of getting into it that I need to get through. I've been playing another "mechanically-heavy" werewolf variant since 2020, it's just that I've been focusing on vanilla games for the past 2 years and getting into the mindset of digesting all of the new mechanics can be a bit daunting. I guess I just need some time (edited)

Only counts when it gets redirected. Also your target stays selected, but nevertheless you will be prompted each day
