The Bear is a normal bear, with one exception: they can never change species.

When a species changing ability affects the Bear, it fails. If the bear tries to infect the bear the infection fails and nothing happens. If a bear tries to feralize the Bear it happens normally, however if the Bear is attacked they will die instead of turning bear.
