Night 1 | Flocking to the City

Feeling the threat posed by the tremors, the denizens and Five Great Knights of Hallownest gather at the base of the Hollow Knight Memorial. Seeing the bugs huddled together, @Hegemol, @Dryya and @Isma vow to protect the city and cavers beyond. Meanwhile beyond the city's borders, a thick fog begins to form... @Participant @Mentor

When @Tiso went out trying to find her it appeared that only an empty shell could be found seemingly crushed by a Massive Moss Charger. Night 2 | Trial by Combat

@Tiso reports @Willoh's death to the rest of the denizens once he returns to the city. Instead of believing him, they accuse Tiso of killing Willow and put him to trial by combat in the Colosseum of Fools. Needing an adjudicator and opponent for the trial, @Cloth is temporarily appointed. The trial becomes fierce very quickly with both parties exchanging flurries of blows, but Tiso emerges from the trial victorious. Despite failing to defeat Tiso, the bugs commend Cloth for putting up a good fight and decide that she should continue to guide them as their @Mayor. TLDR: @Cloth is elected as @Mayor @Participant @Mentor

Mid-night

As @Hegemol does his headcount for the night, he finds that @Bardoon is nowhere to be seen. Instead, @Xero and his nails were in Bardoon's place. TLDR: @Xero is substituted in for @Bardoon @Participant @Mentor

Night 3 | Falling into Deepnest

Travelling further, the bugs were now in the passage between the Fungal Wastes and Queen's Gardens. With the loss of @Cloth, the bugs couldn't agree to elect a new leader between themselves and a shouting match soon broke out - the two loudest of the bunch being @ikuya and @Marissa who both had strong voices from their singing. Roused and angered by the loud bickering, the moss prophet dashed off of his podium from and charged towards the two bugs. Unknown to the prophet, the two bugs were standing over the ravine to Deepnest. The bugs tumbled and fell as the prophet knocked them over, falling deep into the chasm. TLDR: @ikuya and @Marissa are lynched. No one is elected as @Mayor @Participant @Mentor

Night 4 | Ambushed in Queen's Gardens

The effects of going without leadership were starting to show. As the bugs were crossing a narrow passageway, they were ambushed by the Traitor Lord! Without a leader, panic broke out across the procession. Bugs scuttled in all directions and the sharp clamours of nail against claw echoed across the cavern. Only when the sounds of fighting had long died down did the bugs finally emergedfrom their hiding places. Crumpled on the ground, @Isma's body lay slain by the Traitor Lord. TLDR: @Isma is lynched. Night 5 | Clash with the Mantis Lords

While passing through the Fungal Wastes on the way back to the City, @Dryya crossed paths with the prideful Mantis Lords. The tall bugs stopped Dryya in her tracks and decreed that she infringed on their territory. Needing to pass through anyway, Dryya struck up a fighting stance and took on the three Lords at the same time. Unfortunately, her nail failed her and she was cut down by the Lords' sharp claws. TLDR: @Dryya is lynched. No one is elected as @Mayor @Participant @Mentor

Game End | Back into the Abyss

With the death of Galien, the only bug left in the City of Tears was Eternal @Emilita. Locked away in her room, she listened to the gentle whispering of rain outside her door. Unbeknownst to her, little beads of void had collected in her eyes and rolled down her cheeks. The void had taken over Emilita's shell to rid itself of the intruders in the area. Now that its goal had been achieved, they no longer needed a mortal shell. As the void leaked out of Emilita, her form slowly collapsed until only her broken shell and cloak was left on the ground and the City of Tears wept in the silence.
