Story Time - Day 0

The game has started!

Day 0 | Opening Day Today is a wonderful day, it is the first day of the new aquarium! All the new @Creature (Participant) have been moved into their new exhibits and had settled in. The crowds have been allowed into the wonder around and observe the exhibits and see all the new animals! The newest member of the team @Aquatics Specialist was quickly running around checking all the animals looked happy the @Customer Service Representative was manning the front desk, selling as many tickets as they could. The new fresh water exhibit was doing amazing!

Story Time - Night 1

Nothing happened...

Night 1 | Predator Fish? The first day went by quickly. The freshwater creatures loved interacting with the families who came to the aquarium to see them. Even @Kuhli Loach, who is shy by nature, came out of hiding, dashing around in their beautiful tank. After the last visitor of the aquarium left with the cheap toy they bought from the gift shop, @Kuhli Loach decides to gather all of the creatures in the tank. “What a great day! I love being here. Everyone loved us!” The other freshwater creatures nod, but the wise old @African Dwarf Frog lets out a loud croak. “You poor, poor fool! You have no idea what’s about to happen.” @African Dwarf Frog says in an ominous tone, “If I’m not mistaken, there are predator fish among us!” “Predator fish!” All the creatures gasp. They have all heard of predator fish, but they have never seen them. Is it possible that those dangerous creatures are among them? @Kuhli Loach gulps and buries himself in the white sand. The normally flamboyant @Discus dashes from the giant glass and hides behind the driftwood. Even @Lungfish, the biggest of them all, retracts under a piece of rock. Will tonight be a peaceful night for the freshwater creatures? Or is there an unexpected danger lurking in the shadows? (TL;DR: nothing happened @Creature (Participant) @Mentor )

Story Time - Day 1

It's horrible, but it seems yeen

@Kuhli Loach has died.

Day 1 | Horrific Discovery It's the second day of the exhibit. @Cleaner Shrimp arrives at the tank, getting ready to clean, but just as they crawl under the Java fern, they find @Kuhli Loach's lifeless body! All the creatures in the tank are horrified. @Kuhli Loach's best friend @Yo-yo Loach bursts into tears. Only @African Dwarf Frog shakes his head, continuing his croaking. “We will need leadership!” @Yo-yo Loach cries, “So we can avenge my best friend.” It seems like the freshwater creatures are in danger after all. Will they find the right creature to lead them to victory? Will they find the predator fish and restore peace? (TL;DR: Kal is dead. Elect Mayor. @Creature (Participant) @Mentor )

Story Time - Night 2

@Swordtail was elected as Mayor.

Night 2 | Swordtail Mayor As night fell on the aquarium, the freshwater creatures gathered to discuss what had happened. @Marine Manager comforted everyone that @Kuhli Loach died from bad water quality, but @Flowerhorn disagreed. “Loaches are known for their high tolerance of nitrate. If the water quality is an issue, shouldn’t @Discus go first?” @Swordtail, who spent most of her time admiring herself in the glass, swam over. “I think I should lead the investigation. I have a tail shaped like a sword. Maybe that will scare off the predator fish!” The freshwater creatures stared at each other, not sure what to do. Except for @Molly, who was a fervent supporter of her livebearer sister. “I think Swordtail is a great candidate.” No one else stepped up, so everyone decided to follow @Swordtail’s lead, but soon she got distracted by her beautiful scale again and couldn’t focus on the investigation. Did the creatures make the right decision making @Swordtail the investigator? Will tonight be a peaceful night, or will there be more tragedy waiting for us at the crack of dawn? Day 2 | A night of peace

Last night was a peaceful one, the moonlight shone through the windows, illuminated the pools were the creatures slept in peace. No knocking on the windows by children (and adults), no one constantly watching there every move. @Swordtail was the first fish to rise that morning looking out of their tank over the rest of the creatures. As the sun broke through and the staff started to arrive @Swordtail started to take count. It looks like everyone lived this night, but nevertheless someone still needed to pay for the first night's death! @Swordtail had managed to convince @Aquatics Specialist to poison 2 fishes enclosures today so now to pick who. There will also be a @Reporter elected to find out what secrets the dead were holding. @Creature (Participant) @Mentor

Story Time - Night 3

Night 3 | Sweet Sweet Vengeance Even though tension eased in the aquarium, the freshwater creatures felt like they couldn’t relax. The death of @Kuhli Loach loomed over them. They watched as Aquatic Specialists brought in two syringes, each one of them carrying deadly clove oil. “Are you sure this is the right thing to do?” @Otocinclus looked up at @Swordtail, whose shiny red tail looked like a dagger drenched in blood. “We must seek revenge!” @Swordtail exclaimed. “And I shall report on their deaths!” @Pleco shouted. @Yo-yo Loach and @Angelfish were taken to a hospital tank. Despite being @Kuhli Loach's best friend, many said @Yo-yo Loach was secretly jealous of her friend’s beautiful pattern. As for @Angelfish, well, his hostile nature had made him plenty of enemies in the tank. The creatures watched as the clove oil filled up the hospital tank. The distance silenced their screams. They watched the two creatures slip into peaceful slumber. As their bodies floated to the water, they knew they had taken their last breath. Did they bring the right creature to justice? Story Time - Day 3

@African Dwarf Frog died, but they did their best!

Day 3 | Who let the frogs out?

@Aquatics Specialist got in early this morning to take count of all the creatures and ensure they were comfortable in their enclosures. As they made their way around they were horrified to find the door to @African Dwarf Frog enclosure wide open and them gone! Panicking @Aquatics Specialist sprinter around searching high and low with the frog nowhere to be found. @Swordtail waking up and seeing the scared @Aquatics Specialist knew something bad had happened and assumed the worst. Calling to the rest of the creatures they announced they would be removing 2 more from their enclosures today and electing a @Guardian to watch over the aquarium at night because the humans had failed to protect us! @Creature (Participant) @Mentor

Night 4 | Unavoidable death @Swordtail stood before the giant glass, her scales glistening under the warm sunlight. @Pleco rested beneath her, his eyes scanning the room. “I think we should get rid of @Bladder Snail. He is a pest snail after all.” @Harlequin Rasbora shouted. “Yeah! I even saw him crawling on top of @African Dwarf Frog's dead body!” @Forktail Rainbowfish agreed. @Bladder Snail retracted into his shell. He knew he couldn’t get out of this one. All the aquarium hobbyists avoided him like the plague. He must accept his fate. All of a sudden, @Silver Dollar dashed out of a tall plant and charged at @Swordtail . Its eyes were red with hatred. “How dare you come for my brother!” All the creatures gasped! Their investigator, @Swordtail, was going to die! @Killifish closed his eyes. He didn’t want to see the carnage. When the expected scream didn’t come, @Killifish opened his eyes. @Flowerhorn was standing between @Silver Dollar and @Swordtail, her giant hump bleeding, but she managed to save @Swordtail . @Silver Dollar slumped to the bottom of the tank. It knew its time had come. Everyone else cheered. @Flowerhorn became the rightful guardian. Is this the end of suffering? How many more deaths have to happen before peace is restored? Day 4 | Half remain

Today was a horrible day to wake up @Marine Manager was running around frantically. Another 2 creatures had died overnight!! at this rate, the exhibit will have none left soon? If this continued and the cause was not found soon the aquarium was sure to be shut down by animal control, this would destroy the business! Today's dead included @Von Rio Tetra who w found floating on top of their tank and @Pleco who's tank got drained overnight. With the death of @Pleco the creatures needed to select a new fish to carry out the investigations on who was dead and why. With not many fish remaining now, the question ultimally is how many can die before the aquarium is shut down for good? @Creature (Participant) @Mentor

Story Time - Night 5

Night 5 | Infection? The tank was seemingly empty. Even the visitors began to notice the difference. After nightfall, the fish gathered to discuss the death last night. “I’m not sure if @Von Rio Tetra died of an attack. It may be dropsy. His belly was bloated like a pinecone.” @Discus suggested. “No, I think it’s Columnaris! I think @Pleco had a white patch on his back.” @Killifish swam over, said in an ominous tone with his tiny tail raised. Everyone gasped. Could it be the notorious Columnaris spreading around in the tank that had been causing deaths, and not a predator fish? “Lo…Look!” Suddenly, @Killifish shouted, pointing its fin at @Rainbow Shark. @Killifish's terrified tone caught everyone’s attention. All the creatures turned to look at @Rainbow Shark . The sudden attention made him look away. It was then that everyone realized that his beautiful red tail was covered in white patches. “Columnaris!” The fish screamed in unison and dashed out of the way. After hearing the commotion, @Aquatics Specialist came by and removed @Rainbow Shark from the tank to prevent further infection. All the fish breathed a sigh of relief. Thanks to @Killifish's attention to detail, they were able to identify one source of infection, so the creatures voted for @Killifish to be the new reporter. With a deadly infection going on, will this exhibit go on? Will this be a peaceful night or a deadly one? (TL;DR: Krem is elected Reporter. Sharl is lynched @Creature (Participant) @Mentor )

Victory As morning rays shone into the gorgeous display tank, the freshwater creatures found the dead bodies of @Swordtail and @Harlequin Rasbora. It was @Killifish who first burst into tears. It had been such an exhausting and painful few days. They all formed an inseparable bond with each other. @Swordtail was complaining about a headache the night before. A white patch started to spread from her beautiful sword-like tail. Most of the freshwater creatures were prepared for her bitter end, but it was still devastating. As for @Harlequin Rasbora, well, @Marine Manager confirmed that she was the source of infection. Her unique pattern was able to hide the white blotches, but the disease finally took over her tiny body. It turned out that she contracted Columnaris and had been spreading it unknowingly. To most aquatic life, Columnaris is a death sentence. The calm after the storm came so unexpectedly that the creatures struggled to believe it. “So was there a predator fish after all?” @Otocinclus asked, watching the two bodies get removed. “It doesn’t matter. We are safe now.” @Discus turned away from @Otocinclus, not wanting her to see the tears in his eyes. Despite the turmoil within the display tank, the freshwater exhibit was a success! Maybe there will be another one in the future? (TL;DR: Game over. Town wins. Plague Doctor ascends. @Creature (Participant) @Mentor @Dead Participant )
