The Gravekeeper may check the original roles of ghosts.

Each night, the Gravekeeper may check one ghost for their original role. They cannot check ghosts who have been banished. The roles given are always the role that player was originally assigned; a dog who chooses to become a fortune teller, then gets turned into an undead and finally dies will be shown to the Gravekeeper as 'dog'. Investigating a player is an immediate ability. The Gravekeeper is immune to disguises and redirections. The Gravekeeper is a replacement for the Reporter in haunting games and is elected on the first full day with a living Mayor and no living Gravekeeper. The Gravekeeper may resign at the end of any phase. The Gravekeeper is elected on the first full day with a living Mayor and no living Gravekeeper. The Gravekeeper gains an additional secret channel, which is reused for any subsequent Gravekeepers.

When there is a Revenant, a banishment will take place on all odd days.

The Revenant may choose to resign at any point during a phase, but will only lose the role at the end of the phase. If there is no Revenant and a ghost election occurs, a Revenant is elected. The Revenant gains an additional secret channel, which is reused for any subsequent Revenants. The first night after being elected, the Revenant cannot be banished.

The Greater Coyote is a packless non-lycan wolf who shares a channel with the other coyotes. None of the coyotes know the identities of any other wolves. If the Greater Coyote dies, the coyote group is disbanded.

If the wolfpack fails to kill a townsfolk player on any given night, the coyotes may kill a player during the following night. The coyotes decide their target by voting. If at any point there is no living Greater Coyote, the coyote group is disbanded. All other coyotes join the wolfpack. Any member of the coyote group without their original role can still vote on who to attack. The coyotes' attack is an end-night ability, and is always reactively executed by a Greater Coyote.

The Keen Coyote shares a secret channel with the other coyotes and can perceive players each night to determine whether they have a threatening presence.

The Keen Coyote cannot see a player’s role, but they can check whether or not they are a threat. Lycans, and roles classified as killing roles have a threatening presence. The inspection is an immediate ability and is affected by strong disguises and redirections. The Keen Coyote knows the identity of the other coyotes and shares a channel with them. The Keen Coyote is not a lycan, nor are they a member of the wolfpack. When the last original greater coyote dies, the coyotes' channel is disbanded and the Keen Coyote joins the wolfpack.

The Reaper cannot banish on consecutive nights. If the Reaper chooses not to banish, they will once again have the option to banish in the following night. Learning the role of one ghost is also non-consecutive, but may or may not be done in the same night as the banishing. When the Reaper banishes a player (even if the banishment fails due to a defense), they gain the player's role as an extra role. If the gained role had abilities with limited uses, the Reaper regains all uses once obtained. Banishing is an end-night ability. The Reaper cannot make use of role changing or group joining abilities. Learning the role is an immediate ability and is immune to disguises and redirections. The Reaper is a member of the nightmare team and purgatory channel. The nightmare team wins when all other players are dead or unaligned. When the Reaper dies, they do not become a ghost: they are immediately banished.

The Immortal cannot die by any means, but will be banished if they are elected. Each night they can choose to have a voting power of 1, 2, or 3 for the following day.

When the Immortal is elected as any elected role, they are instead immediately banished and eliminated from the game. All Nightmare Team members share a channel for communication. Choosing a voting power is an end night action. The Immortal is a member of the nightmare team and purgatory channel. The nightmare team wins when all other players are dead or unaligned. If there is no reaper, the Immortal may choose to become a reaper.

After Night 2, the Fenrir may banish one ghost every other night. The Fenrir may still do so while a ghost themself.

The Fenrir may not banish on consecutive nights. If the Fenrir chooses not to banish, they will once again have the option to banish in the following night. Banishing a ghost is an end-night ability. The Fenrir may not banish during Nights 1 and 2. The Fenrir is a member of the wolfpack and a lycan.

The Monk will survive the first attempt to banish it during the night.

The Monk is informed of the attempt to banish them. Attempts to banish the Monk during the day will still succeed.

Once the Spiritualist becomes a ghost, they can whisper to a living player each night.

Each night, if they are a ghost, the Spiritualist may select a player. From the moment of selection until the end of the following day, the Spiritualist may anonymously whisper with their target. The Spiritualist may only pick each target once. Selecting a player is an immediate ability.

Each night, the Poltergeist may decide whether to haunt the tavern.

The Poltergeist may choose to resign at any point during a phase, but will only lose the pumpkin at the end of the phase. Choosing to haunt the tavern is an immediate ability. If the Poltergeist chooses to haunt the tavern, the tavern channel will be locked and it will be announced that the tavern is haunted. Each ghostly player may send a single anonymous message to the tavern. Once the night ends, the haunting ends and the tavern will be unlocked. Whilst the Poltergeist is haunting the tavern, it is absent and will evade banishments (excluding the nightly banishment poll). Other pumpkins that spend their night at the tavern (i.e., Alcoholic) must stay at home while the Poltergeist is haunting and are thus not absent. The Poltergeist is elected in the first ghost election in which a Revenant already exists. The Poltergeist gains an additional secret channel, which is reused for any subsequent Poltergeists.
