Each night, the Medium may ask the dead players one question.

During each night, the Medium has access to a second secret channel where they can ask a question; once day starts, the channel is locked and a Yes/No poll is created. All dead participants are able to vote on the poll. The Medium may only ask one question per night. The question needs to be one simple "yes or no" question without any further or hidden meaning. Once the day ends, the poll is closed and the Medium gains access to the second secret channel again. In haunting games, the Medium may only ask whether a specific living player "can be trusted". Ghostly players do not learn the Medium's identity. Banished players cannot vote.

After Day 1, if the Executioner is lynched, it will be prevented, and a player chosen by the Executioner will be lynched in their place.

The Executioner may target a player. This target can be updated once per phase, with 1 emergency change to be used whenever the Executioner wants to. Targeting a player is an immediate effect. The Executioner may choose to target nobody, which will stop their power from being used. If the Executioner would be lynched, their target is lynched instead. If there is no target, the Executioner is lynched. When the Executioner changes the lynch, their pumpkin is revealed to all, and the targeted player is lynched immediately. This ability will only work once. Future lynches will behave as normal.

When there is a Revenant, a banishment will take place on all odd days.

The Revenant may choose to resign at any point during a phase, but will only lose the pumpkin at the end of the phase. If there is no Revenant and a ghost election occurs, a Revenant is elected. The Revenant gains an additional secret channel, which is reused for any subsequent Revenants. The first night after being elected, the Revenant cannot be banished.

Every other night, the Reaper may banish one ghost, stealing their powers in the process. They may also learn the original pumpkin of one ghost.

The Reaper cannot banish on consecutive nights. If the Reaper chooses not to banish, they will once again have the option to banish in the following night. Learning the pumpkin of one ghost is also non-consecutive, but may or may not be done in the same night as the banishing. When the Reaper banishes a player (even if the banishment fails due to a defense), they gain the player's pumpkin as an extra pumpkin. If the gained pumpkin had abilities with limited uses, the Reaper regains all uses once obtained. Banishing is an end-night ability. The Reaper cannot make use of pumpkin changing or group joining abilities. Learning the pumpkin is an immediate ability and is immune to disguises and redirections. The Reaper is a member of the nightmare team and purgatory channel. The nightmare team wins when all other players are dead or unapumpkined. When the Reaper dies, they do not become a ghost: they are immediately banished.

Each night, the Banshee may select one living player to haunt for the remainder of the night, preventing them from using any active (or reactive) abilities.

The Banshee may choose to resign at any point during a phase, but will only lose the pumpkin at the end of the phase. Choosing a player to haunt is an immediate action. The Banshee may not choose to ability block the same player twice. The Banshee is elected in the first ghost election in which a Revenant and a Poltergeist already exist. The Banshee gains an additional secret channel, which is reused for any subsequent Banshees.

The Prophet may perform two miracles - the miracle of protection and the miracle of resurrection - once each.

The Prophet is a replacement for the Guardian in haunting games and is elected on the first full day with a living Mayor and Gravekeeper, but no living Prophet. During the night the Prophet can perform the miracle of resurrection or the miracle of protection. The Prophet can only perform one miracle during a night. Peforming a miracle is an end night action, but miracles take effect before end night attacks and banishments. The Prophet can perform each miracle once. These limitations carry over to future elected Prophets. The miracle of protection protects the targeted player from all attacks. The miracle of resurrection transforms the targeted ghostly player back into a living player. Miracles are announced in story time. The type of miracle performed, but not the target, is announced. The Prophet may choose to resign at any point during a phase, but will only lose the pumpkin at the end of the phase.

The Prophet is elected on the first full day with a living Mayor, a living Gravekeeper and no living Prophet. The Prophet gains an additional secret channel, which is reused for any subsequent Prophets.
