Story Time - Day 0

The game has started!

Session 0

Like all good DM's should we have set a Session 0, this is especially important for our 19 player campaign so don't worry. We managed to find a legendary DM for you all as well @Matt Mercer will be running this dungeon crawl for you, all your races and classes have been picked but we're missing some important parts of your characters. Namely backstories and stats, you should look into getting those done and give them to your DM as quickly as possible. @Participant

Mid Session 0

@Unknown got in a big fight with @Tiefling Sorcerer Green, about who was the better caster, this ended with @Tiefling Sorcerer Green casting True Polymorph on @Unknown and that transformed them into a @Dracolich, now you have a @Dracolich in your party, this may be a bad thing it may be a good thing who knows but this is a wild session 0 for me @Dracolich has subbed in for @Unknown (edited)

Mid Session 0 Again

Unfortunately the party is in a tavern that could not contain the true size of the @Dracolich, this caused the @Dracolich to suddenly explode as it was polymorphed, as a result a backup character was created, luckily it was session 0 so the player was not too attached, you now have a new member of the party @Human Fighter Chimi @Participant @Mentor

Story Time - Night 1

We have to start somewhere, the party all bustles in the tavern, they need a quest, they need adventure. @Elf Wizard Fish runs to check the questboard in the tavern, and exclaims "Here's an easy quest, kill 'rat' in my basement", @Tiefling Barbarian Mat asks "Rat, not rats, like only one Rat?", @Half-Elf Cleric Sky retorts "That must be one big rat" As they argue on if the spelling and grammar was wrong or if all 19 people have to kill only one rat our adventurers journey down the road to the questgiver's house to kill this mysterious rat @Participant @Mentor

GOOD MORNING ALL!!!! Except the filipinos, for whom it is the afternoon, and @Elf Wizard Fish, who should be asleep. I bring with me legends of a great treasure to be found by an adventurer most brave and bold... and, as it happens, a map for the very same! Rumour has it this treasure could number up to 100 coins... but rumours are rumours! Now, I am no adventurer myself, but I know some of you may be interested in this prize! Whosoever most impresses me in a battle of wits and linguistic oddity shall receive the spoils! Your test, adventurers, is this... tell me the tale, the backstory if you will, of some manner of adventurer similar in nature to yourself, of the same species and same skills. Include in your backstory at least one word of most unusual provenance. They who include the word that strikes me most strangely shall be announced the victor! All who see this message may participate. The first person to use a given bizarre word shall have sole rights of useage, to avoid plagiarism moste foule. Story Time - Day 1

@Half-Orc Druid Kal has died.

Session 2

The players had a nice stroll through the forest. Nothing happened but some players got into a fight over what this rat could be. The players arrived at a small house down the road. It looked as any other house, except for the fact that there was a tent in front of it. Instead of knocking on the front door of the house, @Dwarf Rogue Maj knocked on the entrance to the tent. An old man opened the tent. "Who goes there?" he asked cautiously, seemingly increasingly scared the more he looked out of the tent and spotted 19 strangers dressed in armor of various degrees. "I-I've done none wrong, I tell you! Nothing, not a thing!" "We're not here to harm you. We caught word of your quest and would like to follow up on it." said @Human Ranger Alex. "Get to it, where's the rat?" The old man beckons the group to follow him, @Half-Elf Monk Mia and @Tiefling Sorcerer Green up front. "Now be careful." the old man said. "The beast is vicious. Probably got some sort of disease." He stopped right before a door, nodded at the group to go ahead and stepped aside. @Half-Elf Monk Mia got ready to open the door and @Tiefling Sorcerer Green quickly prepared his spells. He signed @Half-Elf Monk Mia to open the door, which they did. "Now!" yelled at @Half-Elf Monk Mia and both of the frontmen ran in. Now in any case, they'd walk up into the basement. The basement, after all, did have a bit of a rat problem. But any basement did these days. But this door, it was new. Recently put in by a carpenter that went through town. Everyone was interested in it, but this farmer just got a great harvest and traded his ware for a new door instead of money. The wood looked exotic and was wonderfully decorated with sigils and- sigils? It was too late for @Elf Wizard Fish to warn the two frontmen. If only they had waited a few more seconds before walking into the basement. It was not just a rat that hid in the basement. The whole basement was a Mimic. And the food storage in the basement had emptied a day earlier. The Mimic was hungry, and @Half-Elf Monk Mia and @Tiefling Sorcerer Green was just what it was hungry for. It viciously devoured the two, taking @Half-Orc Druid Kal as dessert. Nothing a 16-person party can't defeat, though. But the loss of their friends didn't sit right with them. Saddened, but with their prize of a few Mimic teeth and the poor farmer's last few coppers, the party walked back to the tavern to forget the whole ordeal. @Participant @Mentor

Story Time - Night 2

@Gnome Cleric Sharl was lynched.

@Gnome Cleric Sharl has died.

Session 3

Saddened by the loss of his compatriots, @Gnome Cleric Sharl was not paying attention to the road. Everyone said to pay attention but they just couldn't hear. "LOOK OUT FOR THAT STONE AHEAD!" shouted @Elf Warlock Swurtle. There was a rock up ahead but it was too late - @Gnome Cleric Sharl tripped on the rock and fell over. They had to make an athletics check and they rolled a natural 20, but unfortunately, they had disadvantage and the second roll was a natural 1. In response, they tumbled down the hill to the cliff. Hanging on for dear life, they failed a strength roll to pull themselves up, causing them to plummet to their death. After making it back to town with one less member, the party happened to find that there was an election for a new @Mayor. This was curious, thought @Human Fighter Chimi, who pushed their way to the stage to see what was happening. Suddenly, they found themselves backstage instead. "And tonight's debate will be Thomas Rubycrust, the Town Baker! And - wait who are you?" asks the announcer, directing themselves to @Human Fighter Chimi who had now been dragged onto the stage unwillingly. "I'm @Human Fighter Chimi", said @Human Fighter Chimi sheepishly. "Well then, what are your policies for the town" asked the announcer. @Human Fighter Chimi replied: "Well I do like Hydras, so I'd say free pet Hydras for all", the town roared in disapproval, immediately electing Thomas Rubycrust as the @Mayor. @Participant @Mentor

Session 4

After the kerfuffle with @Human Fighter Chimi, the party decided to leave the town for good. They were all embarrassed by their actions. They decided to search for the mystical river of youth, supposedly nearby. Having overheard it from a salesman back in town, @Half-Elf Cleric Sky had not stopped talking about it. And so the party set out on their adventure. It was not long before they faced thier next struggle. There was a bridge over a big ravine. A little signpost was placed next ot it. No more than one person at the time, for two who do must face their demise "I'll go first!" offered @Human Ranger Alex. He gently stepped onto the bridge. It creaked and it swayed. At some point he stepped onto a loose board on the bridge, and his leg got stuck. But he was agile, and easily passed the check that made him get back up with a well-rolled 17. Unfortunately for him, not everyone was as smart. @Half-Elf Cleric Sky, too impatient to wait for the nonsense of @Human Ranger Alex being so slow, ran onto the bridge. For a moment, everything seemed fine. But then the bridge started creaking worse than before. One by one, the wooden steps started falling down and the rope started breaking. Panicked, @Half-Elf Cleric Sky ran back while @Human Ranger Alex, too far forward by now, started running ahead. This sudden movement swayed the bridge even more and the ropes snapped. The entire bridge fell down into the ravine. The rest of the party watched in shock as they had just lost another two members. Maybe someone should lead the party as @Mayor? @Participant @Mentor

Session 5

Needing to find another way around, the remaining 13 party members turned tail and followed a trail to the left of where they had come from. The long and winding trail led straight to a cave mouth. "You should go first", said @Dragonborn Fighter Bass to @Half-Orc Druid Harp, who immediately retorted with "No, you should go first." The two began playing roshambo to decide who would go first, but it was pointless as @Halfling Monk Light ran straight into the cave screaming their own name. The inside of the cave was a winding labyrinth like no other: twists and turns led to dead ends, hidden rooms opened up into gambling dens and upside-down fountains spewing thick black gas were around every corner. Despite the party's reservations on splitting up, many were eventually separated and became lost. Slowly, the party's members reduced: 12 turned to 10, 10 to 7, and 7 to 4 until finally, only 3 remained. @Dragonborn Paladin Yuki, @Human Sorcerer Ocean and @Dwarf Rogue Maj stopped exploring and agreed that everyone needed to recuperate. Finally after rounding up everyone and doing a head count, there were only 12 members. Of course, who else was missing but @Dwarf Ranger Stein? The party needed to find him to progress, but they didn't need to search for long. As soon as they tuned the corner, there he was, frozen as a stone statue with 12 cold eyes glaring at them. The party had stumbled on the lair of a beholder. Earlier in the lair, @Human Fighter Chimi seemed to achieve their dream of becoming a mayor by finding a small colony of mice who elected them the @Mayor of their little town. Back to the present, @Human Fighter Chimi had a sound strategy to fight the beholder. There were 12 people and 12 eyes. If they each focused on one, the monster would be incapacitated in no time. @Participant @Mentor

Story Time - Day 4

Session 6

And so, the 12 brave heroes began the fight. Each focussing on one eye. It was tricky, as the beholder had a tight focus on everyone in their party at once. Beholders are known for their intellect, especially in predicting moves. One by one they dodged the death, sleep, paralysis and all other rays the beholder threw at them. @Human Sorcerer Ocean threw whatever spells they could at the beholder, taking care to stay away from the big eye. @Halfling Monk Light set up a plan to get himself on top of the beholder, possibly incapacitating the eyes from up there. The entire session, players were rolling dice, changing health points and moving figurines. @Dwarf Rogue Maj eventually rolled a sneak attack so high, the beholder couldn't anticipate it and one of the eyestalks was down. Unfortunately, the beholder did now feel one eye missing and pointed all its other rays at @Dwarf Rogue Maj, instantly killing them with as many rays at once. After hours of fighting, @Half-Orc Druid Harp dealed what seemed to be the final blow. She was, however, located right below the beholder and its weight crushed her to death when the beholder fell down from its floating position. The party was once again two members down. They looted the beholder and took a short rest. @Participant @Mentor

Session 7

After their short rest the remaining 10 needed to resupply, they took all their loot to the nearest town and decided to sell most of the useless stuff, they bought more useful gear and some extra rations and decided to explore the town. Suddenlt @Halfling Monk Light and @Elf Warlock Swurtle started arguing, "You're Cheating" said @Halfling Monk Light, "you don't buy a vorpal sword, no way he was selling a vorpal sword", "He was, I asked the DM" said @Elf Warlock Swurtle, however @Matt Mercer seemed to have a confused look, he didn't remember letting @Elf Warlock Swurtle buy a vorpal sword. @Tiefling Wizard Pikayar tried splitting up the argument however @Elf Warlock Swurtle punched them right in the face while trying to hit @Halfling Monk Light, "I never want to play with you again" Screamed @Elf Warlock Swurtle. The group decided to pack it up there and continue next week, however "I have a thing next Friday" said @Gnome Bard Krem "It's my brother's birthday", "we can do next Thursday then" said @Matt Mercer, "I can't do Thursdays" said @Elf Wizard Fish, "We could take a break week and session the week after" said @Tiefling Barbarian Mat, "I'm on holiday that week" piped up @Dragonborn Paladin Yuki. And so the Group realised they had to face the greatest BBEG of any D&D campaign, Scheduling Issues, it didn't appear there would be another session for weeks, weeks turned to months, months turned to years, maybe later when they don't have anything to do the last 7 players will all be free one week and pick the campaign up again or maybe @Human Fighter Chimi will decide they just like pathfinder instead. @Participant @Dead Participant @Mentor @Spectator @Substitute Game Over Werewolves Win
