The Muk is immediately notified of all powers used on them. When a member of the team rocket team uses a power on them, they are given that team rocket's identity.

The Muk is told which pokemon targeted them and what power was used on them, but not the identity of the pokemon that used a power on them. An exception are members of the team rocket team - when they use a power on the Muk, the Muk is told the identity of that pokemon as well. When a pokemon uses a power from an extra pokemon on a Muk, the Muk sees the extra pokemon, not the pokemon's main pokemon (but they still also see the pokemon's identity for team rocket team members). The Muk is not a villainous pokemon and is not part of the Rocket HQ. Should a evilish pokemon attempt to attack the Muk, the attack fails.
