Story Time - Day 0

The game has started!

Day 0

The echoes of thunder rumbled across the sky as waves crashed against a stony beach littered with debris. The remnants of a ship and its cargo were scattered haphazardly across the rocks as if a giant toddler had smashed their toy apart in a moment of carelessness. Finally as the storm made its way past, the clouds parted and rays of sunshine broke through to this barren landscape. The once dark and turbulent waters transformed into tranquil blue, and shades of grey brightened to reveal a lush green forest. While all was calm again, a kid soon going to be named @Bird Chaser stirred awake. As a gentle breeze blew past, he shivered in his damp clothes. Pushing himself up from the rocky shore, Bird Chaser saw silhouettes of bodies through his blurry vision. Silhouettes that cleared up to become a group of unconscious kids. Slowly, memories came creeping back. The kids had been put on a ship toward what the adults called 'a better place', but they were caught in a storm on the way there. The ship couldn't withstand the forces of the waves and its hull snapped before plunging its crew and contents into the freezing ocean. All that seemed to be left of the passengers though was this group of children sprawled across the beach, but the mere fact that anyone was alive at all was already an incredible stroke of luck. Feeling the weight of the situation set in, Bird Chaser knew that getting more people together would be better for everyone. With an effort, he got up to try and rouse some of the others awake... @Participant @Mentor (edited)

Story Time - Night 1

Night 1

As the castaways awoke, they soon came to the realisation that no the adults washed up on the shore with them. The older kids, finally free from the confines of the ship, excitedly explored the coast. However, not all of them were happy of their new situation. Several of the younger ones broke down in fear and wailed for their parents. Amidst the mayhem that unfolded, @The Bright Kid found a conch wedged between a narrow slit in the rocks. Taking a deep breath, he blew sharply into the conch. Almost immediately, the kids stopped what they were doing. Knowing that the group needed some form of governance, he announced that they needed to gather up the washed up supplies on the beach before high tide. After a few minutes, groups were formed with @Eagle Eye and the Bright Kid each leading their own scouting party. With their new leaders, they set off down the beach... @Participant @Mentor

Story Time - Day 1

@Mr. Dappy has died.

Day 1

Unhappy of how the groups were split, @Daredevil took off by himself. After all, he was the best at improvising so why did he need to follow what others told him? Strolling back up the beach towards the direction that the other scouting team went, he noticed something big sticking out of the water. Thinking that it could be a beached baby dolphin or whale, Daredevil ran to explore. As he got closer however, the mysterious object turned out to be a body. Gentle waves lapped against the body's clothes. Its arms were splayed out making it appear as if it was floating instead of sunken into the sand. This body was one of the kids that was just playing with everyone else not so long ago. As a big wave crashed against the shore, the body flipped to reveal @Mr. Dappy. Their face contorted in anguish and mouth open as if to gasp for air. Shocked by what he saw, Daredevil trips backwards before scrambling up and running off. TL;DR: @Mr. Dappy died. Story Time - Night 2

@The Fosterer was elected as Mayor.

Night 2

By the time @Daredevil reached the other group, there had already been a change in leadership. Despite the fact that @The Bright Kid was the one who found the conch, the kids all decided that @The Fosterer was much better at taking care of everyone. Their little team had found enough food to last at least a day or two, and plenty of miscellaneous items. TL;DR: @The Fosterer was elected mayor. No one was lynched. @Participant @Mentor

Night 2.5

@Fair Kid was originally thought to be the fairest of them all, so unbiased that they'd be a perfect third party to ask anything of. But people came to realize there was someone better, that being @Fairer Kid . and thus @Fair Kid was promptly replaced, never to be seen, heard, or remembered again ( @Fairer Kid replaces @Fair Kid ) @Mentor @Participant

Story Time - Day 2

Nothing happened...

Day 2

Too busy pretending to be responsible adults, @Daredevil's pleas that the kids needed to leave the island fell on deaf ears. The others were all too tired from pushing the crates around the beach or having too much fun to care for what he said. In the back of Daredevil's mind, he knew that the others would listen to him if they also saw the corpse. Once no one was paying him any attention anymore, he quietly slipped away. Come nightfall, @The Fosterer's group had gathered enough supplies to last everyone for a long time. However, @Eagle Eye returned empty handed. Curious about their surroundings, Eagle Eye had led his group into the jungle to explore. Soon, they were all separated and lost in the thick undergrowth. It was only by miracle that they all found each other again and made their way out. As everyone grew hungry, Eagle Eye's group didn't receive any food. Resentful and starved, they go to sleep. Night 3

As hunger infects the mind of the castaways, they start to think immoral thoughts. Worries about there being too many people being too high in proportion to the food supply. As a result @Eagle Eyes group, which were more resentful and hungry than the rest, decided to cut down the population by a singular person. Not wanting to cause a fight, @The Fosterers group conceded to the demands, and @Smart Alec had their biological functions relieved, in a matter of speaking. While they did behave like they knew everything, others found it irritating, this was the result. With all this rationing and supply distribution going on, a @Reporter was necessary, for which @Cutie was chosen, probably because of their looks. @Participant @Mentor

Day 3

After @The Fosterer's resignation as group leader and @Smart Alec's death, the group of group fractured. What used to be The Fosterer's group held all of the food left from the ship and were comfortable living on the islet. Naturally, everyone else wasn't happy and they wanted to leave. After a quick discussion, the starving kids agreed that the best way to do this was to stop a passing ship. The trip that they took was a common one, so it shouldn't be difficult to catch the attention of one passing by. Having found a lighter earlier, @Scruffy came up with the idea of creating a signal fire and what better things to burn than the crates of supplies that was conveniently gathered the day before? As day broke, some of the kids began to catch the smell of smoke. At first, they were reminded of the smells of the fireplace at home, but it wasn't long before they realised something was wrong. @The Bright Kid was the first to realise that a fire had started amongst the supplies and quickly rushed to get everyone away. As the kids lamented their supplies, there was need of a new order. The only question was whether they would finally all agree upon a person or die fighting for it. TL;DR: No one died. Night 4

There was a big fight on who should be the new leader, people had many different opinions, injuries were made. One fatality occurred, which unfortunately belonged to @Fairer Kid. But in the end a new leader was made, which happened to be @The Fosterer once again. This did not please everyone, as many people did not want them to be elected again, as they knew @The Fosterer lacked some key leadership skills, but then again there was no one that everyone would be happy about, someone was always going to be upset. Hopefully the resentment doesn't continue to build as it has been @Participant @Mentor

Day 4

The first thing @The Fosterer did after becoming leader again was to confiscate the lighter off of @Scruffy . It was simply too dangerous to let just about anyone have it. With all of their supplies reduced to ashes, the kids were now forced to find food on the island. @The Stoic kid and @Eagle Eye were the first two to volunteer to go back into the jungle and scout more as they were the ones who have already been in the jungle and strong willed enough to go back in. Meanwhile at camp, @Serena tried to get the signal fire going again. Their supplies were already gone, it wouldn't hurt to use the remaining ashes and tinder for some warmth and to signal for ships. As she gets the fire going again, Eagle eye comes crashing back out of the jungle with some fruit clutched in hand. Frantic, he cries that a wild boar emerge and crashed into the Stoic kid out of nowhere. The kids were outraged upon hearing this and gathered themselves to hunt down the pig... TL;DR: @The Stoic died. Elect a guardian! @Participant @Mentor

Night 4

Frustration has reached its peak. People can no longer contain their violence. Hunting the pig has been exhausting and no progress has been made. Some get the idea that perhaps human food will suffice, and our unlucky victim is.... No One!! And our much guardian was chosen to be @The Bright Kid, maybe now we can have less deaths. @Participant @Mentor

Story Time - Day 5

Day 5

Thankfully, the wild boar was able to satisfy the kids bloodlust. They had all been thrown onto this island and have faced hardship after hardship. Without @The Fosterer guiding them anymore, It was only a matter of time before their sanity would snap. Returning from the hunt, the boar was quickly decapitated. The @Burnt Kid promptly impaled the boar's head onto a makeshift spear fashioned out of a thick branch they found on the outskirts of the jungle. Consumed by their hunger and madness, the kids didn't bother spit-roasting the pig. Everyone ravenously ripped at its flesh, leaving its entrails scattered across the ground... TL;DR: No one died. Elect a new mayor! @Participant @Mentor

After sticking the boars head on a pike, @Burnt Kid felt emboldened. He wanted to be the leader of the island. To prove his authority he would execute the one who most opposed his rule. He decided this would be @Young'un . While this was all going on, @Shybie had enough with the group and escaped all on their own by building a raft. @Participant

Day 6

Calming down after the frenzy of killing the boar, a feeling of distraught settled on the kids. After all of the death that has happened, more death didn't make sense anymore. Despite their realisation, @Burnt Kid was too lost in his delusion of being the leader to care about what the others felt. Still thinking about the hunt, the Burnt Kid sent @Serena and @Eagle Eye back into the jungle at dusk to find more prey. The two's protests of feeling tired were only met by the firm command and so, they were swallowed whole by the jungle. Come morning there were still no sign of the two kids but by then, their presence no longer mattered to the rest. Survival was the only thing they cared about anymore. TL;DR: @Serena and @Eagle Eye died. No mayor election due to despot. @Participant @Mentor (edited)

Things have started to calm down around the camp, most of the problematic people have been removed. They enjoyed a hearty meal, and bonds deepened. As they call it a night, they start to wonder if they will ever get to leave the island. @Participant

Day 7

The last kids felt like they've spent an eternity on the island now. If help hadn't come yet, they were sure that it will never come. Accepting that they are never going to leave, they at least wanted someone agreeable to lead. In the night, the kids gathered up what was left of their things and abandoned @Burnt Kid while he slept. The burnt kid only made the others miserable while he was in charge. It was about time that he learned to fend for himself. TL;DR: @Burnt Kid died. Elect a new mayor! @Participant @Mentor

As the night progressed, and they explored the further reaches of the island, the kids grew progressively more lost. They weren't sure where they were going but they were hoping to find something, anything that would give them hope. Boredom grew and they began to walk aimlessly, hopefully they'd happen upon some source of food or sign of civilization. TL;DR nothing happened @Participant

@Scruffy has died.

Day 8

The jungle's canopy blocked out any light that could pass through and thick vines grabbed at the kids. It was as if the whole jungle was alive and trying to restrain the kids from going any further. Exhausted from the past few days, the @Scruffy kid was too tired to fight against the jungle. Quietly, he lied down in the damp soil and waited for the jungle to take him away. With it being so dark, the others didn't even realise that Scruffy wasn't there anymore. Their arduous journey carries on. TL;DR: @Scruffy died. Elect a new mayor! @Participant

Midday, the kids finally noticed that the trees were thinning again. Light began to seep through cracks between the leaves. Suddenly, @The Bright Kid shouted that he saw an opening ahead an ran off. The others, eager to be out of the jungle all ran after him. As the bright kid got closer to the source of the light, he saw that the ground beneath drops off to the side of a cliff! Turning quickly to stop everyone else, he was just about too late. The @Stubborn Child tripped as he got to the cliff edge and tumbled down headfirst. Soon after, they all heard a sickening crunch as the child became a pulp. Horrified by another burtal death, the children did their best to keep their emotions in check and trudged back into the jungle. TL;DR: @Stubborn Child died midday. @Participant

The kids came to a stop in a small glade amidst the trees. Tired and hungry, they drop the things they carried and sprawled out under the warm sunshine. Soon after, @Scaredycat found a bush with berries near the edge of the glade. Going against his usual nature, he curiously ate one of the berries. Immediately, he scrunched up his face. The berry had a very sour and bitter taste but more importantly, he began struggling to breathe. Wrapping his hands along his neck, scaredycat staggered back over towards the other kids before collapsing on the ground, motionless. The moment of respite broken, the last three quickly picked up their things and went back into the jungle. TL;DR: @Scaredycat died. Elect a new mayor! @Participant

The dense leaves parted once more and opened into the evening light. Somehow, they managed to stumble onto the beach again: the place where they first discovered the island's wonders, but also the place that led to so much grief. As the sun dipped across the horizon, @Just Mia collapsed onto the cooling sand. Their breath was ragged as exhaustion and hunger from the last two days of wandering in the jungle finally caught up. The kids were fated to die in the shipwreck. As their souls didn't arrive in hell, @Bird Chaser was sent up to reap them instead. While it was a shame that bird chaser couldn't get @Shybie's soul, everyone else died easily enough. And @The Bright Kid who was still 'alive'? He had sold his soul on the third day in exchange to play shipwreck survivor for a while longer. Now that Bird Chaser's job was done, he could finally return to whence he came. With a burst of flame, bird chaser disappeared, leaving Mia's body and the bright kid behind on the beach. Hell wins! @Participant @Mentor @Dead Participant
