Alexander the Great had perished and the Greek had fallen (Democracy? What a ridiculous concept). Lately Buddhism has peaked my interest as well, there is much wisdom to be found within it. Now imagine, if you will. You are a citizen in a city far in the future, many things we may not be able to comprehend exist here. Carriages that don't need horses, crossbows that can fire faster than a zhu ge nu, you name it, driven by various forms of magic or divine energy. But heaven has fallen into disarray and the divine have weakened as more and more humans stopped believing in the Gods, thinking they can do without and punishing those who cling onto the Gods. Only few have inherited the wisdom of heaven, and you are one such person. The heresy of humanity has drawn evils from outside the world into it and no amount of human magic can kill them, only you and the divine might you wield can stop it. You wake up, the last thing you remember is the divine revelation. It seems you've been sleeping on a metal floor in the basement of a strange building, around you lie a number of corpses. You get the feeling you caused this, but given how they look, you were acting out of self-defence. Around the room are various strange liquids in glass bottles and apparatuses, and a single door out of the room. What will you do? God be with us. Catherine the Great

It is there where I felt the true divine power of Heaven. It seems like you are much devoted to "god". Id love to hear more about the subject of your belief as well. That is quite intriguing. A magical world with all sorts of divine energy, yet the citizens no longer believe in heaven's guidance. That is a world that is worse than the ninth-level of the underworld! I can't imagine such a world, but if I were to wake up and suddenly appear in your story, I would bolt out of the door. You get up and run out of the door and up the stairs it opens up into, leading into an alleyway, the buildings on either side rising higher than most buildings we could feasibly construct with our technology. It seems to be night, the alley covered in darkness. As if by instinct, the divine energy within you concentrates near the palm of your hand and it starts to glow, lighting up your surroundings. In front of you, a few metres away lies a human, the light illuminating demonic features on the unfortunate man. It seems he was a victim of a demon's assault, now trying to masquerade as him. I welcome a spiritual discussion in the future if you can mobilize a missionary from your great country. I’d love to have the abbots in the monastery organize a friendly debate. Unfortunately when I asked the Tao monks to examine @Kamehameha | Polynesia and @Willem van Oranje | Netherlands, they are showing omens of a traitor. Though they haven’t done anything terrible yet, they pose significant threat to our nations. Again, I appreciate your alliance as we work through this difficult time in the world. I hope we can restore peace and joy sooner than later. Very interesting. Are the buildings taller than my palace? Or even taller than Mount Hua? All the buildings here are taller than your Palace, such is the grandiosity of this future made by the hans of humanity under the heaven's guidance before they turned to heracy. You grab the assailant before he gets to you, his hands claw at you like a beast's, drawing blood from your throat and arm. Nevertheless, you double your effort and focus the divine energy you wield on the man, heavenly flames cauterize him, a deafening shriek rings out, but it is not the man's. Darkness draws out from him as the dark spirit leaves his body, flying away towards the city centre. The man's body slumps to the ground once more, unconscious but unharmed. You wish you could do more for him, but the demonic spirit must be returning to it's place origin! You finally have a chance to find out where they come from. In the palace, the eunuchs are plotting with other royalties to challenge my throne. Please target citizen as you wish, but things seem to be looking up for us, as most of the game has been figured out. The demon is free to enter and leave a body? That is quite a scary situation! Dear @Wu Zetian | China There is nothing to apologise for. As a matter of fact, I myself have been busy with sudden raids from the Cumans in the south. I have updated my target to citizen as now. I am elated to head things are looking up, maybe that diplomacy victory isn't so far away after all. Fortunately, your divine might can be controlled enough not to harm humans, if their body hasn't fully gotten accustomed to the demons presence. This one was lucky, but others might not be... Nonetheless, you press on, chasing the spirit to an unassuming tower in the midst of the city. This tower was once the city's greatest achievement, and though it is still the highest reaching building, it only serves as a monument of the foregone ages. You ascend the stairs, and though you lift your legs to move forth, your mind is dizzied as it feels every step only brings you further down, a thick miasma makes it difficult to breath, a foreboding sense of evil present throughout these stairs and hallways.
