The game has started!

Day 0 || The Beginning of Recorded Time From the dawn of humanity, your people have been living a purely nomadic lifestyle. But now times have changed and they look to you, their newly appointed leader, to build them a civilisation to rival any other! With any luck, your civilisation will go down in the history books as one of the greats. Let's hope you don't fuck it up. @Participant

Night 1 || Darkness As darkness sweeps over the land, savage beasts and barbarians threaten the fledgling towns that you are building. For your civilisation to stand the test of time, you must first defend your territory. Anyone who fails will be destroyed and wiped from the history books. @Participant

Story Time - Day 1

Day 1 || England Conquered It only took 1 day for the first Civilization to fall. @Queen Elizabeth | England's newly settled village could not defend themselves from the Barbarians and were wiped from the history books. Let me ask you this question... Can you build a civilization that will stand the test of time? @Participant

@Gustavus Adolphus | Sweden was elected as Mayor.

Night 2 || Pliny the Elder's Rankings Part 1 With new territory up for grabs after the fall of the English, the other civilizations quickly snapped it up and seem to be doing pretty good for themselves. Renowned philosopher Pliny the Elder went on a trip around all the nations to update his archives and decided that @Gustavus Adolphus | Sweden was the most glorious, as it was already expanding its economy to great heights through the sale of furniture and meat shaped into balls. @Participant

Day 2 | Raiding and Pillaging The civilizations are steadily growing their villages into towns. Sadly the Barbarians did not stop attacking and pillaging. Over the course of the night @Boudicca | Celts and @Genghis Khan | Mongolia have been raided and pillaged by them and therefore have lost their place in the history books. @Participant

Night 3 || An Early Victory While everyone else was busy doing stuff like discovering fire and the alphabet, @Gustavus Adolphus | Sweden used its booming economy to build the first ever space shuttle out of sticks and rocks. Didn't know you could make a stasis chamber out of dirt, but good for you. @Gustavus Adolphus | Sweden was an Angel who rocketed into the unknown, off to colonize other planets. @Asoka | India tried to also make nuclear weaponry out of whatever was lying around, but it exploded in their face and blew the capital to smithereens. Meanwhile, @Montezuma | Aztec was deemed the second-best civilisation due to inventing a delicious beverage that the locals call "hot choccy". @Participant

Day 3 | Post Nuclear Consequences After @Asoka | India's attempt to create nuclear weapons and it failing miserably, a lot of contamination was left behind. The civilizations of @Alexander the Great | Greece as well as @Montezuma | Aztec have both become nuclear wastelands after this event and have therefore not stood the test of time. @Participant

Story Time - Night 4

@Wu Zetian | China was elected as Mayor.

Night 4 || Pliny the Elder's Rankings Part 2 Thanks to the knowledge of mutually assured destruction that nuclear waste tends to bring, everyone seems to be maintaining an uneasy peace and focussing on growing their own cities. Since everyone was pretty bored, Pliny the Elder came back for a second round of rankings, and decided that @Wu Zetian | China was carrying China into a glorious new age of prosperity by assimilating small neighbouring tribes and barbarian villages with her girlboss feminism bloodthirsty empress regnant swag. @Participant

Day 4 || No Money No Stability As we all know an Economy is very important to any civilization. Sadly @Mansa Musa | Mali forgot that the currency slider exists and was spending so much money it crashed their entire economy and they no longer had any gold to keep their nation afloat. TL;DR: @Mansa Musa | Mali died. @Participant

Night 5 || War and Conquest @Willem van Oranje | Netherlands and @Kamehameha | Polynesia started itching for a Domination victory and decided to attack each other, using a technique taught in only the greatest military academies known as the Stack of Doom. They ended up weakening each other so much that @Bismarck | Germany swooped in at the last minute with their Panzers and took over both nations' cities for themself. @Participant

@Enrico Dandolo | Venice has died.

Day 5 | Blue Jeans and Pop Music @Enrico Dandolo | Venice could not keep up with everyone's Tourism anymore, which lead his people to buy everyone's blue jeans and listen to everyone's pop music. In the end his country was taken over by everyone else, making him a mere inhabitant. @Participant

The demise of the great nation of Venice saddened us all - I, too, was planning to visit. Night 6 || Expansion of the Empire Not even Poland's winged hussars could stand against @Wu Zetian | China, who swept in and assimilated @Casimir III | Poland into her empire. Then, sensing that @Nebuchadnezzar II | Babylon would have a starship named after him at some point in the future, she promoted him to be her trusty @Guardian with a defensive pact. @Participant

‍⬛ @Bismarck | Germany has died.

Day 6 | Invasion of Germany @Bismarck | Germany has lead their empire through many eras. But as we all know all of them must come to an end. There was a fierce battle on who will occupy Germany and @Bismarck | Germany lost. This will be remembered as "The Invasion of Germany" in the history books. @Participant

The invasion of Germany was horrific, but we have little time to grieve the loss in the time of war. Bismarck led his people with honesty and transparency. Can we repeat the glory with @Joao II | Portugal? Unfortunately, I found out that our trusted ally @Ramkhamhaeng | Siam was in fact plotting against us. Meanwhile @Joao II | Portugal steamed right on past their sinking ship without a care in the world and became the first to see every continent, bringing the information back to their allies. @Participant

Day 7 | World Congress The first World Congress happened and everyone agreed to put an Embargo on @Wu Zetian | China . This embargo hit them so hard that their nation crumbled into pieces. @Participant

Game End After @Gustavus Adolphus | Sweden blasted off into the unknown in their space shuttle, the other civilisations decided that they'd rather take advantage of the resources of their home planet. @Julius Caesar | Rome, @Napoleon | France and @Joao II | Portugal founded the United Nations (with only the three of them in it) and formed a diplomatic alliance together where they diplomatically took over all the other nations and assimilated them into their coalition. But all the bloodshed, um, peaceful conquering, is irrelevant because they then voted to pass free speech and environmentalism for all. So that balances it out. They then lived happily ever after until the year 2050 when the mysterious hand of god finally put an end to their reigns and let them ascend to take their places in the history books.
