Night 1 | A Bitterly Cold Night The electric lights flicker out as a bone-chilling cold sets in through the walls. Night approaches the city. The Werewolves rulebook was missing but there's enough GM guides for everyone to burn. @Participant

Day 1 | A Fresh Morning Crowded around the fire, everyone was too busy minding their own business to notice that someone was missing. Come morning, @Sleepy Security Officer's cold and lifeless body was found huddled up in the corner of the street. But no matter, stocks are looking to go on the rise. Day 2 | Novel Ideas At night, to pass the time, everyone had a very long discussion about how the Grapes of Wrath is an important book that draws attention to the widespread effects of economic recession on a variety of communities and how we should be sympathetic and compassionate to one another in trying times. Somewhere in the crowd, though, people were whispering about how this is all, quote, "commy bullshit." And as such @Wrathful Grape was taken out back and shanked. Unacceptable. Night 4 | Civil Unrest The streets are not what they used to be. Civilians are now turning on each other for scraps of food. The @Haggling Hawker and @Lounging Longshoreman were two people subjected to this cruel fate. They fought each other until both died of their injuries. How savage! Outraged at the violence, @Apple Seller took it upon themselves to become a pillar of support for those in need. When will this economic madness end? Day 4 | Pointing Fingers Amongst all the economic madness, the authorities have chosen the most effective solution (for them) - blame everyone else for the issues. The de-facto leader of the group, the Pickpocketer, proclaimed that the Banker was at fault for embezzling money from the bank in order to pay for expensive wolf-fur-coats. The two of them were later found deceased in one of the now very empty vaults. Quite the murder mystery. TL;DR: @Befuddled Banker and @Penniless Pickpocketer died. @Penniless Pickpocketer was a ranger and reveals @Befuddled Banker as tracking wolf. Also, the jury investigated a Plague Bearer. Day 5 | Declining Sanity (And Stocks) It had been days since he left the office. Eyes glued to the the numbers trickling down the trading board, there was nothing else that mattered anymore. His startup in media should have granted an opening into the stock market but the dimming hope of making it in this world was shattered by loss after loss after loss. He rocked in place. Maybe the stocks would stop dropping if something else did. Nothing comes without sacrifice. He inched over to the agape window on the side of his office. Yes. This time he would be the sacrifice. Night 6 | Grievances The startled stockbroker's funeral passed quickly and quietly. But as the rain poured down, the people only thought of how they needed a new reporter. Luckily, the @Apple Seller was up for the role. Soon after settling into their new office, @Mat Weaver was found dead next to the very graveyard that held the startled stockbroker's funeral. Day 6 | Mysterious Disappearences The @Wandering Worker wandered all the way to the Bering Strait in search of a job and was never seen again. There are whispers of people conspiring to join him, and they of course must be quenched because if we have to live in a capitalist hellscape then so does everyone else. Night 7 | Food Shortage After the death of the lounging longshoreman, no one wanted to work by the docks anymore. Imported goods them had reached an all time low and even stock was hard to come by. With no way to make aspic, the @Aspic Enthusiast couldn't bear to live on. Come morning, they were found in their bathtub solidified into human jelly. TL;DR: @Aspic Enthusiast was lynched. Game End After eating the last of the @Shrivelled Vegetables, the remaining workers decided to form a new start-up that sold radioactive cranberry and apple juice. This start-up would go global and pull them out of the Depression, before they were eventually shut down by the World Health Organisation for irradiating everyone who drank it. Eh, they were cowards anyway. Maybe in the distant future influencers on social media will make smoothies out of it. In the meantime... Town wins! @Participant @Dead Participant
