I have publicly claimed, and nobody counterclaimed me (and cult consists of 3 members so if I'm fake one of them will have definitely countered me)

the thing is the rolelist has limited roles, for example there's 2 citizens.

so for example, if I have only 2 citizen claims, and I'm certain that no citizen died, then I can confirm the 2 citizens as town. however, if someone didn't claim, what if the unclaimer is a citizen? this would cause someone that shouldn't be trusted to get the trust

Yeah, so don't fully get all the roles yet but I'm the cat and then I got assigned fortune teller cause the dog chose warlock. I think that's how I ended up here?

And then the way I get it I do align with townfolk as if I was the fortune teller, just in permanently disguised as cat (not 100% sure how that matters yet)

Basics

During Night 1, the Cat will become the counter-role to that which the dog has chosen.

Details

If the dog chooses fortune teller, the Cat will turn into warlock, and vice versa. The dog choosing rival will turn the Cat into an opposing rival. If the dog changed role before choosing a role, the Cat will become fortune teller at the end of night 1. Changing role is an immediate consequence of the dog choosing. A Cat which becomes a fortune teller or a warlock may not use that role's investigation during Night 1. For each Cat in the game, there must be a corresponding dog. Neither player will know their counterpart. The Cat is strongly disguised as Cat: this will persist despite any role changes. The Cat is nonaligned until it changes role.

Like you say you've done all this collecting about the claims, but you never mention the other cultists not even that they exist, like you're solo? And then not even a reason to check fred?

Yeah I get it, but like same. And idk maybe I'm missing something but cultist seems like a pretty obvious target, so putting yourself out there, countering or just because has risk. Also I know literally no one so feels like a quite of a waste to just go off your word and not getting countered

yes I'm aware I'm an obvious target. but if I don't step up nobody will be confirmable enough to be trusted and town wouldn't get claim collections. Yesterday I didn't die since mat was confirmed executioner which made her and I both ok targets and wolves decided to kill mat
