The Journalist can write a journal which a certain role will receive when the Journalist dies.
Details
The Journalist has a second secret channel. There they can write any information. When the Journalist dies, access to this channel will be granted to a player with a role that the Journalist selected.
The Journalist can select a role and update their targeted role once per phase, with 1 emergency change to be used whenever the Journalist wants. The Journalist may choose to not target any role, which will stop their power from being used.
If there are several people with the same role, a random player out of those is selected. If nobody has the role (anymore), nobody gains access to the channel.
If the Journalist loses their role, the journal is lost.
@ParticipantYou may select a role to give your journal to! You may change this role every phase, with one emergency change, however this will be the only time we prompt you to select a role. Just ping Hosts whenever you'd like to select a new role!
You basically have a book - the #journal - in which you can write anything you'd like. You choose a role from the role list in #information to target: Once you die, your book is given onto a person with the targeted role!
We decided that we can give some quick pointers without it being favoritism/directly influencing the game:
Since anyone can claim to have gotten the journal, it is quite common to agree to write some identifying info in your journal, so that the role getting the journal can somehow try to 'prove' that they got the journal.
Don't let this stress you out, though, as it's still the first phase and you may go on living for multiple days
@Participantplease note that you are below the public activity threshold. In general, we expect 10 messages/phase (excluding D0) in public channels. Feel free to ask if you have any questions!
It's okay, we're sorry to hear that. What type of Werewolf do you usually play?

You can think of #town_square as the game thread, if you play forum Werewolf. You can say whatever you want in there, banter or ask questions about the game, usually people are quite helpful! But I get that this game is not for everyone. Would you like to be substituted out?
