Werewolves Revamped - story

Night 1 | Railway Regulation The Railway Regulation Act of 1844 introduced a minimum standard for trains across the United Kingdom and forced them to be affordable to everyone, bringing with it a new era of transportation. Now, 180 years later, we can all appreciate that they are the pinnacle of public transport, even if certain unnamed GMs hate them with every fibre of their being. But which trains are the best trains? A hotly debated question that will be answered over the course of this week based on equally important metrics like economics, efficiency, construction, and how pretty their maps are. The judges are of course the oldest and deepest railway lines in the world @London Tube and @Peterburgskiy Metropoliten, which have no flaws and are perfect in every way. @Participant

Midnight 1 | Railway Regulation Immediately after the competition began, @Muni Metro was found to be blatantly flaunting every safety regulation known to man. It has been scheduled for demolition. @Tashkent Metro took its place in the competition!

Day 1 | Surprise Strike The workers who manage the @Seoul Metropolitan Subway have decided to unionize and go on indefinite strike over concerns about industrial accidents and toxic chemicals being used in the workplace. As such, the railway line has been removed from the competition. TL;DR: @Seoul Metropolitan Subway (Ghost) died. Choose a lynch candidate and a @Mayor (>15). @Participant

Night 2 | Current Leader The @Toxin was decided to be the running leader thus far in the train olympics. Did you know that several of its stations are built on old cemeteries? Now you do! We decided to play it safe and avoid getting haunted. And it's also the oldest and most comprehensive railway system in Southeast Asia, which helps, I guess. Day 2 | More Disqualifications It turns out having two judges from imperial Europe may not have been great for diversity, since they seem to have had a vendetta against @Metrô de São Paulo for a while and have now eliminate. They did also choose to eliminate @Berlin U-Bahn, perhaps because of how much users kept completing about it. @Participant

Midday 2 | A derailing A train on the @Metro de Lisboa (they/them) has crashed! Since the network is so small, it's all been brought down and is no longer eligible to be judged. @Participant [@Metro de Lisboa (they/them) died]

Night 3 @NYC Subway was eliminated because all the rats living there chased the judges out. Meanwhile @ToxinsLittenUwU was promoted as the superior American railway system because they need leverage to get funding to repair their escalators. Midnight 3 | Dark Ages @Budapesti Metró has unfortunately broken down! In order to keep services running, Budapest has switched all their trains to steam models which run on coal, and the new network is being referred to as @The Grey Lokomotive.

Day 3 | Big Crash @Toei Subway, @Metro Warszawskie, @ToxinsLittenUwU, and @Chicago "L" all had massive crashes at 03:49am UTC. It was probably Godzilla's fault. @Participant

Mid-Day 3 | Smaller Crash The conductors of the @Tashkent Metro, @MBTA Subway and @Toxin were all too busy looking at their phones to notice that the trains were about to crash. Something about being too engrossed in social deduction games? Whatever the case, their negligence wiped them from the competition. @Participant

Night 4 Before the @Melbourne City Loop was constructed, people called the idea a folly and an affront to the increasing popularity of cars. And they were right! So we abolished it. TL;DR: @Melbourne City Loop (Mat) is lynched. @Participant

Day 4 | This Story Time Is Based On A British Headline Story Today Godzilla has been active again. This time he damaged the systems of @The Grey Lokomotive and @Montreal Metro, causing problems with the communications between train drivers and signallers, leading to delays. Oh no! @Participant

Night 5 Part of @Tunnelbana, Stockholm broke down while on the tracks, and the only thing in the manual was a note saying "build it yourself!" in 15 different languages. Um, we can figure that out later. Meanwhile the @Metro de Barcelona was chosen as the best train of the day because of its stylish red and white carriages. @Participant

Game End Godzilla stepped on @Metro de Barcelona and @Paris Métro and destroyed them. Godzilla hates the Imperial West, despite being a manifestation of the USAmerican nuclear violence against Japan. Godzilla has clearly become self-aware of its symbolism. This means we can reveal the winners of the metro competition - @Hong Kong MTR and @Osaka Metro!
