Usually privately, we call it "claiming" and it's essentially a way to try and gather information and garner trust. You say "I'm X, what are you?" To someone, either telling the truth or lying to see what they say
How to play has disappeared, so I can't read about the roles in game. ;-;
(I have read them, but I need to read it again and again and again while I play.)
Yup. That's what I'm saying. N I will doubt mat more here because the other two might not have cced knowing there are only 2 journalists in the game specially the 2nd counter claim.(edited)
The Mayor can post in #story_time.
When there are 15 or less living players, the Mayor receives an extra vote in polls.
When there are more than 15 living players, each night the Mayor instead chooses whether a second lynch will take place during the next day.
Details
The Mayor's extra vote cannot be nullified, stolen, or removed under any circumstances.
If the Mayor would normally have a negative vote, the extra vote becomes a negative vote too.
The Mayor may choose to resign at any point during a phase, but will only lose the role at the end of the phase.
Choosing a double lynch is an immediate action.
If the number of living players becomes 15 or less, the Mayor immediately gains the extra vote and loses the ability to choose whether there is an additional lynch. If this happens after they have chosen to have an additional lynch, but before the lynch poll occurs, the additional poll will still be created.
The Mayor gains an additional secret channel, which is reused for any subsequent Mayors.
For a moment, I felt like Mayors receive an extra vote as in if they receive 2 votes on them then it's counted as 3 which I think is not the case lol(edited)
Yeah, FT results are not reliable enough but I would still advise them to let us know if they found someone being a wolf role although ofcourse not too early
If we lynch someone at random there's a 43% chance we hit scum not great odds. However if we Lynch one of the journalists claims we have a 50% chance of hitting scum since only two of them are real
I'm gonna vote myself because i want to be mayor and huntress hasn't claimed yet. if someone dares claim it's sus to vote yourself I'm going to MURDER them to DEATH by KILLING them(edited)
@Bunny Rabbit out of the four journalists claims one was randomly selected to be mayor and the other was randomly selected to be Lynched. We are making Swan mayor and Lynching Bonny.
bad: this player is good at being pr so we should kill them in case they're pr
good: this player is quiet when they're scum and they're quiet this game so we should kill them bc they're probably scum
in summary. your commitment to not reading any of the rules annoys me and one day i will find where you live and kill you
Yeah, I'm against losing our lynch today as well. Votes are only means to catch wolves so we should not abstain from it specially when there are so many killers lol
Lol. I thought they were generally saying that they often cc journo regardless of alignment lol
16:32
I didn't think it was actually cc
16:32
My bad!
16:33
And tbh, I feel like I might be right here since Philly hasn't responded since then
Ts from Crowdford

They claimed in public: Mat wanted mayor so she claimed journo arch and I ctc journo as a response. And Louise public claimed cit cuz she’s new(edited)
Yeah, that's why I put it here that I'm abstaining and going with what we all want. Tho if there is objection, I won't probably be available to switch my vote anyway
19:14
Anyways, you all decide if we should abstain this phase or not. Tho if someone randomly votes and goes against town's decision then hmm...will gain my sideeye then
The Vampire wins by secretly turning all the living players into undead.
The Vampire demonizes players; if a demonized player is killed in the night, they will instead turn into an undead.
Details
Each night, the Vampire may demonize one player. On even numbered nights, the Vampire may demonize a second player. The player will not know they have been demonised. Vampires cannot demonize themselves or other members of the underworld.
When a demonized player is killed in the night, they will turn into an undead. The Vampire wins the game, along with the undead, if all players are either Vampire, dead or undead.
Demonizing a player is an immediate ability.
If there are several Vampires, they work together.
If no members of the underworld channel remain, all demonized players are no longer demonized.
I'm all good for lynching sarvak cuz it helps confirming a town tho I recall a wolf role similar to this as well. I will have to check it's details lol
@Bunny Rabbit I have good information that DDD is sabo wolf. I think we should vote a lynch on ddd tonight. I was going to advocate it today, the rk claim was unfortunately
We keep the lynch on pythe to confirm them as town, I have my kill on ddd anyway so you won't be missing on much if wolves kill me tonight and then you have a claimspace with no danger of Pythe being undead

Ehhh i dunno, if theres a better candidate i will vote them, but personally i prefer a potential scum out today and sarv tomorrow to see if they are undead
16:29
2 days without lynch sounds boring
16:30
And claiming rk as scum is suicide anyway
16:31
@ FT please check me tonight
Philly
no ctcs rn sound nice but what if sarvak is already undead
If i was scum, I'd be lynched tomorrow anyway. Faking rk as scum is basically suicide. If I don't die tomorrow , I die the day after. Scum don't claim roles that they have to confirm in the near future without serious ability to fake it, which RK literally cant. But i got info from TI that ddd is sab wolf so if we get him out we can elect safely, allowing guardian and ensuring a close town trusted.
16:45
With vampire in play, taking out scums as soon as possible is our #1 priority.
16:46
Besides, if we wait until I confirm, and I'm targeted and killed, I'm probably demonized so I turn undead and now you have a confirmed town trusted as undead. Leaving me to have to confirm after a potential target means I'm less likely to be able to lie my way into a trusted position
16:47
This covers for me being scum, being turned undead and me telling the truth
I did get it from FT, which I know because they checked my role and got it right. Scum don't have an info role, so unless it was a 1/14 guess, I trust them
if you were, wolves wouldn't want to kill you over other people
16:50
undead team is scary
16:51
not to even mention pyro being in play without anyone considering them lol
16:52
doesn't support my argument but it does need attention
16:52
even if just cursory
16:55
there's always the possibility of vamp thinking "hmm i could just not demonize sarvak if wolves won't kill them anyway" but there's no way to count on that. mostly from wolves perspective. for them it would be smarter to just go for some other town seeming person that isn't a 50/50 chance to expand undead team(edited)
16:56
any takes on this, y'all?
16:56
I say, have the royal knight confirm themselves
16:57
now.
16:59
if y'all somehow don't buy into this excellent argument of mine, I will be removing my vote from sarvak later to avoid tie. if anyone tries to cause one anyway that seems like a great target
16:59
(or worse sarvak getting lynched when they don't expect to be cancelling the lynch)
Eh, I don't like that we go no lynch today as well. We either go for DDD or for sarvak. Else, we will be no lynching like every day and I don't think that's the point of the game anyway
Besides, if we wait until I confirm, and I'm targeted and killed, I'm probably demonized so I turn undead and now you have a confirmed town trusted as undead. Leaving me to have to confirm after a potential target means I'm less likely to be able to lie my way into a trusted position
How would we know tho DDD is actually a scum? I don't think alignment is revealed after death and I'm in no way taking reporter's word on this since we can equally hit a Mafia there. So, how do we know if you are town or not tomorrow? Also, why didn't you reveal DDD as wolf before you admitted being RK and potentially avoiding this whole situation?
A public citizen claim is basically a scum-claim at this point. The only real strength the citizen has is to bait the night-kill away from the power roles, so claiming it makes it entirely useless and is also never confirmable.
19:42
I'm willing to cut Louise some slack, as it's her first game on here, but I genuinely doubt both of the cit claims are actually citizens
Timmy

^this. Was going to say same for Lucy however a wolf could be guiding them since I have definitely used my newbie card on new sites so could see others using it too lol
19:46
Anyways, I'm heading to bed now with vote still on pythe to confirm their identity. As for DDD, I will be fine if you guys decided to go for them instead at EoD
19:46
I'm out for today lol
Timmy
I think you've used up your counter-claims for this game.
^this. Was going to say same for Lucy however a wolf could be guiding them since I have definitely used my newbie card on new sites so could see others using it too lol
Yes, the slack I give to Louise is finite, as it is my impression that she plays elsewhere. Even if there is a meta to claim daily, I assume that she also has the capabilities of being scum and faking the claim.
Ozzy
Can this be of any help to narrow down our sus list?
Sleeping Citizen [Townsfolk Miscellaneous]
Basic
The sleeping Citizen has no special abilities. They may fall asleep and go IA for the game.
Advanced
All the sleeping Citizens vote during the day on whomever they suspect to be an enemy and sleep peacefully through the night, hoping not to be killed.(edited)

Yes, this is my first game in Werewolf that isn't OneNight.
I have only played with multiple nights in a version that a YouTuber from my country created on voicechat with blind roles and anonymous votes, and I do not count that, since it is nothing like this.
22:41
I'm also only in one cc. I don't know what to say in them. ;-; I've missed so many claims, because it does not happen in #town_square. ;-;
I thought we were suppost to claim here
@Bunny Rabbit assassin please claim to me so we can avoid undead targeting. I won't control your kills, and no need to target DDD since we can lynch him tomorrow to avoid them becoming undead.

Once per game, the Royal Knight may cancel the lynch.
Details
After Day 1, the Royal Knight may cancel the lynch at any time of day or night, and it will apply to the current or upcoming lynch. If there are several lynches, the Royal Knight may only cancel one of them: they may choose which one.
Cancelling the lynch is an immediate ability. However, the fact that the lynch has been cancelled will only be revealed at the end of the day.
The Royal Knight also chooses whether they want to be revealed or not. If they choose to be revealed, both their role and name are announced: otherwise, neither is.
either sarvak tells us (risks giving information to wolves, or just to town if they're now undead) or they don't, which unfortunately is what most games end up with
12:45
i personally make a point to share at least some of the results when i get reporter, but I'm pretty much the only one save for newbies
either sarvak tells us (risks giving information to wolves, or just to town if they're now undead) or they don't, which unfortunately is what most games end up with
Fun fact since you guys are lynching me anyway wolves did not kill anyone last night. Our target was another failure so you guys got three undead running around now so have fun with that.
15:19
I'm sure your assassin will confirm as much to you guys since they did the killing last night
Philly
Good please be now swurtle won't call me that anymore

Well I can't name one cuz that's the vampire I could name the other two but it wouldn't matter cuz you guys wouldn't believe me
15:26
But you can confirm that we didn't kill anyone night two because it was a failure and you can confirm with your assassin that we didn't kill turtle(edited)
15:27
If you're in town trusted that that is.
15:27
Which isn't so trusted right now I'll tell you that

It’s an inside joke from when phantom did a dnd session with another player named huck and huck decided to make a dnd character to imitate phantom named ohan tom lmao
I don't know for certain, but my point is no one does, where everyone knows for a fact that I'm confirmed town. I'm the only TT
14:51
@Bunny Rabbit we're voting for @Swan to be lynched. It's clear we voted in a scum mayor, since they're literally attacking the only confirmed town while not even being confirmed themselves.

@Ribbit Didn't you say, you were FT and going to check someone? Did you check anyone? Considering you have already claimed, I wouldn't mind getting a scum check on someone but ofcourse if you found one. Cuz the way I see it, it's very difficult for townies to win here so better we utilise whatever info we have rn.
Bonny
so if swurtle chooses to resign today the mayor poll will show up tomorrow
@Bunny Rabbit Ghost is howling wolf, swurtle is tanner, DDD was sabo. Pyro team is dead. I know I'm dying today, but I literally can't do anything about it so here's some chaos lol

@Bunny Rabbit
I mean let's be honest here, vamps and probably wolves have all the claims, pack is 2ppl, vamps are probably 3ppl by now and we're 10 people
We lynch a wolf, 1 remains, kills a person
Best case it's a vamp (A)
Worst case it's a townie (B)
A:
1 wolf, 2 vamp, 5 town
We lynch wolves and then kill all vamps afterwards
B:
1 wolf, 3 vamp, 4 town
We lynch wolves and then kill all vamps
So I propose we lynch ghost tonight and take care of swurtle tomorrow
I'm guessing assassin is already dead as sarvak is most likely part of vamps now
So if you still wanna win, change your vote to ghost, if not then forfeit

You know what, ketch? You are being more sus by saying all these things. Basically you were trying protect a confirmed undead by asking to lynch someone who may or may not be a wolf.
I may be average but still roles and mechanics are new to me here so it's possible I maybe missing something. If you are actually town, it would help us if you mention that. Privately if you r not comfortable here. We need as much info as we need here
I’ll send them in Crowford and Cool Cat if you want at least any photos I take or any pics of just me in them although I have plenty of nyc pics as I’ve been there in the past many times I won’t dox what ddd looks like
16:00
Aka I probably won’t be taking too many pics myself
Morning people! And you guys lynched noone:(
How are we gonna catch wolves then? Do we always need to act on solid evidence? We can't always rely on mechanics!
Each day, the Pack Tanner may disguise one player as a role of the Pack Tanner’s choosing.

If the Pack Tanner dies, the assigned player will keep their disguise for the night. The player loses their disguise at the end of the night.
The Pack Tanner is not a lycan, but is part of the wolfpack.
unless im getting framed via this and FT checked me, i have no clue what evidence it could be
13:27
im voting gosty because they are my CTC and i know they are evil, i dont know if the people pushing me are undead TT or if TT is just being led by evils, but im still town and have zero clue why people want me dead
13:28
based on few deaths im imagining all of TT is just undead at this point
13:29
gasty**
13:29
is anyone gonna talk in here or are we just gonna silent vote me
13:31
@Bunny Rabbit town is either all undead or being led by evils, i dont know who is evil to be specific but Gasty claimed huntress before me while i was attempting to bait wolves to hit me. believe whoever you want, no one will share the evidence that supposedly puts me on the stand, I assume evils have majority but if you ARE town, vote Gasty since theyre the only evil i know for sure

Once per game, the Howling Wolf may disguise all players as an arbitrary in-play wolf role.
Once per game, the Howling Wolf may provide an extra poll for the wolfpack for the next night.
Details (1/2)
The Howling Wolf has two cries: a masking cry and a striking cry. Each day, they can choose whether they want to use one or both cries. Each cry can only be used once. Crying is an end day ability.
If they use the masking cry, all players will be strongly disguised as an arbitrary in-play werewolf team role. If possible, the disguise matches their role's category. Disguising players in this way is not a visit.
If they use the striking cry, they will create a new poll for the wolfpack that the members can vote on during the following night. The player selected on this poll will be attacked by the Howling Wolf at the end of the night.
If the striking cry is used, lycans in the wolfpack will be unable to perform individual actions during the night that the poll is active.
Details (2/2)
The fact that a cry has been used, but not its type, will be announced at the start of the night after the Howling Wolf chooses to use it. If both cries are used during one phase, the fact that a cry has been used is only announced once.
The Undead is a part of the vampire’s secret army and pretends to be their old role. If a demonized player is killed during the night, they will not die, and will instead lose their original role and become an Undead.
Details
The Undead wins together with the vampire.
A player converted into an Undead loses their previous role. However, if they were a member of a group channel, they will remain as such and will still be able to vote if applicable (though their vote will not count).
If all members of a group have changed role or died, the group is disbanded and any abilities it may have had are lost.

IDK if i enjoy this that much, i think its fun and all and when i started i liked the CC system, but now im not in TT or wolfpack and it feels so BORING when i cant TALK to anyone at all
14:09
i feel like theres nothing i CAN talk about when no one shares anything outside of trusted and i have no info or anything
Bonny
im not gonna lie, you being somewhat inactive from the beginning of the game and then pops up when ur about to be lynched is scummy behavior
no but in my mind you were like, you claimed to target ghost but you did nothing in public to prevent the "uncountered" to become trusted. why so silent about it
Ribbit
i have NOT been home stuff came up and i missed uh
Not to mention, you kept your disguise in the cc too when I clearly said that I know your role
Bonny

ive given my side, i wasnt there when he claimed and was out of the house, my bad. i did what i could to try to use my role to the best of its abilities and claim a strong role to try to get killed.

Yup, there are definitely a lot of scenerios but I felt I should choose the simplest one cuz ik I often involve myself in lots of complex scenerios that I miss the simple ones lol
A) Gasty is fire / wolf and became undead recently, though there is a low low chance he was just undead since before the claims, either way, probably a bad kill (or not the best)
B) Assassin is undead and Gasty is still wolf / fire meaning a good kill
also, the evidence on me is weird
A) FT is undead
B) I got tanner sniped, i doubt this but IDK, it is a possibility
14:29
thats good but
Bonny
but biting does jack shit if there isnt a LIVE wolf or townkilling
The Journalist can write a journal which a certain role will receive when the Journalist dies.
Details
The Journalist has a second secret channel. There they can write any information. When the Journalist dies, access to this channel will be granted to a player with a role that the Journalist selected.
The Journalist can select a role and update their targeted role once per phase, with 1 emergency change to be used whenever the Journalist wants. The Journalist may choose to not target any role, which will stop their power from being used.
If there are several people with the same role, a random player out of those is selected. If nobody has the role (anymore), nobody gains access to the channel.
If the Journalist loses their role, the journal is lost.
personally im starting to think FT/assassin could be undead, there are a lot of missing kills, id be willing to bet gasty is a wolf in this world if assassin is undead and lied about hitting him
14:38
i mean, FT being undead is the most likely reason from my view of me being seen as a wolf
14:38
because a tanner snipe sounds very unlikely
14:38
unless theres a mole in some TT chat
14:40
either way, id like to talk to others but i dont think ill be awake for any more conversations
i think im gonna sleep now unless you wanna talk more, but please consider not voting me and getting someone else out of here, i promise you we will lose if im voted (i know it means nothing)
14:41
yeah
14:41
TT = town trusted

Thing is if we don't select a target early, players will again do a no lynch which is not really helpful at this point. Either way we need to select a vote soon and inform everyone

Swan is.. Idk. I think the "Lynch the reporter" was a weird move - Mostly because it came out of nowhere, but ye I am in no active cc, soo maybe it just came out of nowhere from my POV(edited)
14:52
But since they are no longer mayor, the threat is not as bad
i know arch said it already but yeah howling wolf cries, but also i referenced you can count undead via that channel by counting missing kills (to a maximum of 5, minimum 3, even lower minimum assuming guardian succeeded in a protection)
Ribbit

Yup. We did that calculation but we were basing that wolves are working together with vamps because it's a bit odd to see that vamps got lucky like every night in turning people into undead lol

If the Angel has not selected a target, or the selected target did not vote for and did not apply any invisible votes on the Angel, a random player who did vote for the Angel will die instead. The cause of their death is announced.
If the Angel is lynched by unusual means (e.g. by the invisible Stalker votes or the Executioner selecting them) the player responsible for this will die with the Angel in place of the chosen target. If nobody except the Angel has voted for the Angel, the Angel dies and does not win.
The Angel may change their target once per phase, with 1 emergency change to be used whenever the Angel wants to. The Angel cannot select themself. Targetting a player is an immediate effect. The Angel may choose to target nobody.
The Riding Hood wins when they are killed by a wolfish player.
Details
When the Riding Hood wins, the Riding Hood ascends and stops playing. The game continues.
The Riding Hood will win if they are killed by a wolfish player. If the Riding Hood is killed in another way, they lose. If the Riding Hood is protected they neither die nor ascend.
When the Riding Hood is killed by the wolfpack, the wolfpack may not attack anyone the following night.
When the Riding Hood ascends, the wolfish player responsible will be ability blocked the for following day and night.
If no wolfish players remain, the Riding Hood stops playing, descends and loses.
The Riding Hood is nonaligned.
Guys, I'm just putting it here but do you guys want to go for a cit claim? Or remain on ribbit? Personally I kinda believe ribbit a bit but the FT check gives me pause. If you wanna go for citz who do you prefer? Like I have seen Philly to be on sus list of most of the people so Philly maybe? Thoughts!(edited)

Alright, since ribbit has already some votes on them and I don't want to make any last minute changes and confuse town more and ultimately results in a "no lynch" , I will just join the ribbit vote. Maybe Philly for next day if there is a next day lol. I'm heading to bed now. N I'm not announcing this in story time since if any info come forward during my absence feel free to change your votes but pls donot make it a tie again.

Sorry ribbit if you actually are town and you folks could totally blame me if we lose
If it’s based on an ft check there’s lots more reason for an ft to be undead than a cit no?
If it’s because I’m cit look at the early public cit claimers trying not to get killed by wolves?
If it’s because of vibes then… come on, we’re endgame, and lynching on vibes?
If it’s because you’re undead, good job, you win
1. FT also said that ribbit was tanner which reporter confirmed who was confirmed by FT when they were anonymous n less chances of being undead. So, the FT being undead would also means that reporter is undead too. What are the odds here? Possible yes but unlikely imo.
2. Both early cit claims were FT checked and found to be citizens hence we are concluding you are the last wolf.
3. Well, if I wanted to seriously lynch you based on vibes, trust me you would have been lynched way before than this.
4. This obviously is only known to me so I can safely say I'm not but ofcourse noone have to believe this since it's equally true for everyone here rn.
Ik, just like yesterday, there are many scenarios out there which might have happened if you are indeed town but as before I'm choosing the simplest path n going with FT results since I'm pretty sure due to lack of public conversation here it's impossible rn to analyse anyone based on behaviour and stuff specially when I'm not aware of anyone's behavioural meta here.
pt exists so I wouldn't be so hasty to trust ft checks
There's so many nodeaths that that's really possible! Has arch's guardian protections really helped?
Honestly, I'm hella confused because one thing that doesn't make any sense is why are there like no deaths this game by wolves?
Point to note: All the kills so far were done by assassin. As for vamp, we also found through reporter that they are already dead. N trust me, I'm not motivated enough to figure out now as why wolves are not killing anyone? Or if they are doing then our guardian is being lucky or something

Alright then if that's the case. The thing about vamp games is that you can barely trust anything unless you get a devout villager- I'm not accusing that mat or sarvak are undead but with so many nodeaths and a howl I'm somewhat certain at least one electee is undead

Atleast the way sarvak played indicated they were undead

Can't since there is still the possibility that FT is undead or you were tanned plus I'm on a one on one cc with trusted. Not all of them are in one cc to avoid revealing too much.
