Welcome to Innsmouth 1922, the four families, of the Marsh family, the Waite family, the Gilman family, the Elliot family, and some of their local friends and bussiness partners, with some other members of the public being paid to serve in this banquet. Here's a description of the ballroom you are all gathered in

The ballroom in the mansion is grand. The epitome of opulence and sophistication. You entered through the lower left hall via the double doors adorned with intricate carvings flanked by marble columns draped in dusty luxurious fabrics. A small staff door leading to the kitchen also connects to the room so that the waiter has greater ease of access in delivering food. In the center of the room, a gleaming hardwood floor presents itself, not as polished as it could be, but enough to reflect light from above. (edited)

Clue 2

@Mr. Walter Gilman was found, but not in any condition that is suitable, he appeared to have had his head caved in with a giant rock, not the best way to go out, jaw split open and arms splayed out in some sort of ritualistic barbarity. He seems to have been used as some sort of sacrifice

Seems like someone found a book puzzle in the library. You can enter and take a look if you wish to try it.

Seems like someone solved the book puzzle. The bookcase moves to reveal a secret staircase.

Woah a secret basement! Theres four hooks on the wall, three of which have cultist robes on them, one of which is bloody. The floor is adorned with a hexogram pattern, ominous. There's also a bloody rock on the ground, must've been used for some dangerous activity.

More death has occurred, he feeds upon this death soon he will rise and the city will face it's ultimate trial but for now we seek only to figure out who is making all these sacrifices, maybe this scrap of cloth is a clue? (edited)

Luck has been in the favour of the investigators, as while someone was rolling the dice in the study they dropped one, when they went to pick it up they found a small wooden bead on the floor (edited)

From the hooks in the basement you realize the mystery you are looking to solve is that of one murderer cultist and identities of two or three other cultists.

While searching through the Archaeologist's stuff to figure out what should be sold and what should be donated, you all seem to come across a stone tablet with some writing that you don't seem to recognise I wonder what it says
