Werewolves Revamped - story

Day 0 | New Beginnings It had been long months of sailing for @Pirate Captain Andar and his crew, but finally, new shores were in sight. Mindar was far behind: on their voyages, the captain and his @Quartermaster of the Blue Seas had picked up many a new companion. The near-year that all had toiled would finally be worth it. As the great cliffs, once a thin white line on the horizon, grew inch by inch, the excitement of the crew was palpable. What wonders would await them, now that they could finally make a new start? @Participant

Night 1 | Set Sail! With the crew now gathered, and provisions stocked, @First Mate Martesino tells @Pirate Captain Andar that they should speed up their departure, because the navy has found them. @Navy Admiral Lenoard sent a platoon after the crew, but they had already left the port by the time he arrived. With no other choice, the navy set sail to give chase as well. Also it seems @Stowaway Tortello stowed away in the ship, but we don't know why. @Participant

Day 1 | Tragedy Hits! As evening drew to a close, Andar's crew used the long shadows to hide away from the pursuing navy soldiers. With their ship tucked in to a hidden cove, all but the night watch ventured onto land, and soon enough found themselves in a port town. Yet they were not the only ones looking for a night's entertainment - the very navy crew who had been chasing them was there too! At first, it looked like a battle may break out, but the brave @Musician Hughes had a plan. "I'll use myself as a distraction!" he said, and ran off before his companions could stop him. Mournful though they were for their foolhardy friend, no-one was going to let his sacrifice be in vain, and off they hurried back to the ship for a safer night's rest. @Participant

Night 2 | Quarrel on the seas After once again going out onto the high seas, rumours made their way around the crew. @Boatswain Tetra suspected that someone had ratted them out to the navy and told them where they were going. Accusations started to be thrown left and right, but noone could find any evidence for this supposed traitor, so instead they made @Pirate Captain Andar @Mayor (>15) so he can lead the investigation on these rumours. @Participant (edited)

Day 2 | Horror Begins It was a sharp grey morning with bright skies and roiling seas when the crew not on night shift woke with a start. The yelling that had awoken them culminated in a sudden splash. When they rushed up to the deck, nobody was around - until they peered over the edge and saw @Powder Monkey Nathaniel's body floating in the water. Perhaps the rumours of a traitor were true - and perhaps @Powder Monkey Nathaniel had known who they were.... @Participant

Night 3 | Double Plank Walking The navy has continuously ambushed the crew, so naturally they blame @Navigator Kerokero and make them walk the plank. There has also been a lot of cases of salmonella infections recently so @Head Chef Damien is thought to be the cause, so he walks the plank as well. With all of these unpleseant events, a @Reporter is thought to be needed to log everything. And who better for reporter than @Chief Funner Bart? @Participant

Day 3 | Chaos Continues The ship had docked in a local cove, and the crew were up on a cliff enjoying a lovely picnic, when navy soliders burst from the trees! The skirmish was quick and nasty, but it seemed there had been no casualties by the time the crew made it to the ship - that was, until the body of @Lookout Ramona was found, clearly having been killed so the navy could sneak up on the crew. Maybe the traitor was still at large! @Participant

Night 4 | Culprits Discovered? Suddenly, in the middle of the day, @The 8th Buccaneer burst open the doors, stepping onto the deck with @Pirate Captain Andar and @First Mate Martesino tied up. "These filthy scum are the ones who've been ratting us out, look!", revealing leaves and branches in their clothing. The evidence was clear, so @Boatswain Tetra marched them to the plank so that they may be fed to the sharks. For this heroic action, @The 8th Buccaneer was made @Guardian of the ship. @Participant

Mid Night 4 | Misfortune after Misfortune With numbers running low and salmonella running high, @Sous Chef Sal Manella was kicked off the ship in disgrace... and what's worse, it seems the chase has caught the eye of @Navy Admiral Lenoard, who has decided to come lend aid to the navy! @Participant [Substitution]

Day 4 | Sea Skirmish The execution of two of the navy soldiers didn't go unnoticed. Mere hours later, the navy went into pursuit of the pirates and a skirmish broke out, during which @Quartermaster of the Blue Seas and @Helmsman Mathias perished, but not without taking @Navy Soldier Linebeck, @Navy Officer Alwin and @Navy Admiral Lenoard with them to a watery grave. The threat of the navy was fend off, for now. @Participant (edited)

Night 5 | Day of Rest After countless fights and battles, everyone is exhausted. The Navy threat is behind them so they take this time to rest up @Participant

Day 5 | No Rest For The Wicked Even though the navy had been dealt with, suspicions were still being flung around. Some accused others of being traitors, still more accused others of falsely accusing non-traitors, and a select few accused others of failing to accuse non-false traitors. The insults became so vicious that @Second Mate Alphonso and @Madam 'Wildfire' Bab came to blows over it: their fight ranged across the ship, from wheel to mast to rudder, port to starboard, up the rigging and down again, til finally Alphonso toppled over the railing and pulled Bab with him. These arguments over the traitors would have to subside or solve quickly, lest the crew do the navy's job for them and eliminate themselves! @Participant

Night 6 | Holding a grudge Despite people agreeing to stop all the infighting, @Shipwright Felix still held a grudge against the others for failing to protect his friends. The others, however, did not share his sentiment. To ensure his grudge would not end up causing another fight, they decided to leave him on the nearest island. They also made @Seaman Isaac the new @Mayor (<= 15) because someone needs to lead them after all this death. @Participant (edited)

Day 6 | Peace Can't Last @Seaman Isaac couldn't take it any more. To them, the whole thing seemed obvious - the traitor must have been @Stowaway Tortello, a navy spy placed on the ship. Knowing none of the others would permit any fighting, they quietly drowned him during the night, sacrificing themselves in the process. @Participant (edited)

Night 7 | Standoff It was clear that any attempt to keep peace and rebuild the crew would be in vain, everyone held too much of a grudge against each other, as became clear when the crew collectively decided to throw @Cabin boy Nistelo overboard. The remaining crewmembers decided they would have a standoff, and the victor will inherit the ship. @Participant

Night 8 | Almost Nothing The crew was reaching land and without a captain decided they should put @Captain Selena in charge of things, given their high medical prowess @Participant (edited)

Now that I’m finally mayor, I can finally say this. Thank you very much hosts for this amazing pirate themed off season game and I wish you the best of luck finishing the hosting job for this game. You’re in the home stretch and just have to wait a little bit longer unless a ff happens. This game was so much fun and I’m sad it’s going to end soon since this is the best game in WWR history. LETS FINISH OF THIS GAME STRONG!

Day 8 | Silent night(s) Not much happened again, except for the fact that @The 8th Buccaneer the Macho was wounded, and will die today. @Participant

End Game | Legacy The four remaining pirates sat aboard their ship, largely silent. After all, what was there to say? After just a week of tension, violence, and betrayal, only they were left. "So, who should be the next captain?" @Chief Funner Bart asked. Silence reigned for a brief moment, as each pirate realised, one by one, that even if they 'elected' a new captain, they would always be afraid of mutiny and backstabbing - that no matter what lay in the future, they could never trust the other three. @Boatswain Tetra broke the hurricane-eye calm as he lunged for @The 8th Buccaneer's throat. The fight was short, quick, and unimaginably brutal, so much so that even I can't capture the details, despite my undeniable skill with words. As the last droplets of blood splattered onto the deck of the Ghost's Legacy, the victor - @Captain Selena - emerged unscathed. None had known of her true skill, bladework. She would have to repair the ship, find a new crew, and clean the decks. But @Captain Selena gazed out to sea, she knew that, despite the struggles ahead of her, the struggles behind her would always be greater. She would rebuild. She would leave her own legacy on the seven seas. Wolves win! @Participant @Dead Participant
