a) we have a markedly different role makeup than the card games/mafia games b) 8 players is quite hard to balance c) an 8 player game could be over in two days very easily which is fun for no-one

Once the game starts you may have even more questions. You can always ping @Host with your questions in your role secret channel, a channel named after your role with only you and the game b masters

But most important to remember is that it's a deception game. Don't just straight up believe what someone tells you without proper evidence. Sometimes you need to take risks and trust someone, but then you'd need to outweigh the other options of course

Its probably mentioned to make it clear for people that you dont have to side with town if ur unaligned
