--- Day 0: The great sorcerer Marten has been killed. I have managed to gather a group of trusted magic folk who can hopefully help me find whoever murdered Marten. I believe it must have been a group of several beings that attacked him; no individual is powerful enough to face the great sorcerer. I have heard some voices this morning. They seemed to be very eager about me keeping track of whatever's going on. They spoke an ancient language, which I have managed to decipher. They said: "Everyone you know will die. No one is safe. Magic won't perdure.". So, I will note all my findings on this diary. Hopefully it reaches someone who can put it to good use if I happen to fall victim to the killer too. Jay has pointed out that we shall compare "notes" at a later date. Are they claiming to be keeping a journal as well or is it just normal notes? I have tried contacting my good friends Bemo and Enshano for a while at this point. Enshano is either asleep or too drunk to answer, while Bemo has avoided any inquiries about the murder, and is choosing to engage in small talk instead. Vera has claimed to be part of the hags. Are they telling the truth? Who are the other two hags anyways? (edited)

--- Night 1: I've just presented the evidence I had found to the group: A spellbook, and broken potion bottle, as well as an arrow. What's even worse is that not only had patches of his skin turned black, but he had also clearly been mauled by a werewolf. This clearly points the killers being currently at the conclave. It's also worrying that Marten showed signs of the ancient plague afflicting him. Wasn't it erradicated long ago? Besides, he was clearly attacked by werewolves... even if thomas claims they are outstanding members of our community. I have decided to call a vote to decide who is responsible for this. We may not have much information right now, but we have to do something about this. The truth will come out, eventually. The hags seem to have identified each other. They claim to be Vera, Mat, and Kat. Still, can this claim be trusted? Jay brings up a fair point in asking how could they confirm each other's identities so hastily. Meuh approached me looking for information. Unfortunately, I don't have much that isn't public already. It seems like she doesn't either. She has been in contact with The great Leilabra, Quant the necromancer, Den the Seer, and Stein. She claims they also have told her they know nothing. (edited)

--- Day 1: The worst prognostic has become true. This morning, as we were about to start casting our votes, Wyzart was missing. We have confirmed him dead. Everyone could hear the voices this time, announcing his name out loud along with a new message, "You are doing his work, First One.". The killers are definitely among us. Not surprising, but still disappointing. Vera also got locked out of the vote for some misterious reason, maybe the wolves are behind it? Bemo has yet to answer any of my questions. I am getting more suspicious by the minute. Does he suspect me or is he trying to hide something? Jay has asked that any hags that have not confirmed themselves as such come forward publicly, in case there were any impostors in the currently confirmed group of 3. And then... there was silence. It seems pretty likely they are telling the truth. Mat is being voted to become Major by the majority at this point. It seems like a safe choice, hags don't follow any alignment and haven't been wronged so far. Accusations are being thrown around at the town square because of how people have casted their votes so far. It seems like some people were going after Enshano for having casted his vote first seemingly at random. Among them are Meuh (who started the idea), Kruthers, Harp, and Swurtle. Then focus shifted to accuse the people that had voted for Enshano so far, and Meuh decided to target Swurtle. In his defense, he claimed to be a ranger, which was swiftly counter claimed by Arch. After some very iffy use of language by Swurlte, it was agreed that he was the best target for a lynch. He later apparently confirmed that he was part of the wolf pack in conspiracy channels. Ethan came to me today, claiming to be the doctor. His reason for it? He was told by Swurtle that I was part of the wolves. I am unsure as to why, but I am afraid they may want to target me. Perhaps they believe me to have a different role in this story? I informed Ethan of my role as journalist. (edited)

--- Night 2: Mat became major. This probably meand we don't need to worry about her, no party would like to wrong the hags. As she was about to announce the individual chosen for exile, a prophet ran into the room. He said: "The words you must heed, of those from the old, lest you all will bleed, now you must act bold. Their voices you hear, at the dusk and dawn. If you hide in fear, you will be a pawn. Where the sun rises, it does not lie there; final dusk passes, it is not the lair. Where it never goes by, does not rise nor set, and heights it does defy, there it is: your threat.". Does this have anything to do with the voices I have heard so far? Who were they talking about, who could be this "threat"? Regardless, Swurt was exiled as expected. People at the town square are discussing what the identity of Wyatt could have been for him to have been killed first. Is this important to the case? I have told Ethan to check up on Arch. If he is really the doctor, this sounds like a good idea. As a publicly claimed ranger, Arch is definetly going to be targeted by the plague team. Enshano has finally answered my messages, but he seems clueless. He may not have been paying much attention, to be honest.

--- Day 2: Today, we are voting for a Reporter. The mayor has decided to lynch only one person. I agree that we shouldn't get too heated, as there is not enough evidence yet. In other news, two bodies were found this night: Jay's and Ethan's. Jay was attacked and took Ethan down with their last breath, putting an arrow through his chest. Thus, we confirm Jay was a huntress. Was Ethan really the doctor? If so, this is really bad news. No sabotages today, was Swurt the saboteur wolf? I have just been contacted by Arch. I can be pretty certain he is the ranger, as he's claimed it publicly and the only counter claim was confirmed to be a wolf. With this in mind, I informed him of my role and shared some snippets of this journal with him. I also told him this would be going to the town's witch in case I died, but he recommended I passed it on to a citizen instead. If this is you, the one reading... hi! How grim are things looking right now? Anyways, he says someone else claims to be the journalist. I'm not especially worried about it, I doubt they can fake it very convincingly. Arch has now asked about Enshano, so I let him have my conspiracy chat with him and Bemo. Let's see if he can get any useful information from him. A few hours later, Arch has announced publicly that they have decided to exile Stein today. What is the evidence against him? Arch proposes himself as the reporter, which is risky but makes sense. Apparently, Stein was the one to claim to be a journalist. Not his brightest choice, I must say. I hope this doesn't make others distrust me, but it should be ok as long as the reporter is someone we can trust. (edited)

I have been keeping quiet about the lynch. It doesn't seem very smart to try to argue against Stein; I know he's lying and I don't have much of a way of proving that I'm the real journalist, so I'll stay out of the drama. Besides, Arch has agreed that this seems like a good idea. I have spoken to Bemo. He finally came to me and claimed to be a medium. Seems trustworthy at first glance. He says he asked Wyatt if he was citizen on the first night after he died and he responded no. I told him that I'm the journalist and that Ethan claimed to be the doctor.
