Day 0 | The Conclave of Sorcerers All the mages, sorceresses, witches and many others had gathered in Invaila for the conclave, but just as it was about to begin, a question interrupted the proceedings. "Why have you called for this meeting?", @Anna, Witch of Mystford asked the host, @Supreme Sorcerer Suso, "I had to travel all the way from Mystford, this better be important." "It is a matter of great importance. The great sorcerer @Marten has been killed," @Supreme Sorcerer Suso informed the gathered witches and warlocks. Shock and outrage filled the room. @Marten was possibly the most infamous sorcerer of the millennia, so renowned, he needed no by-name. Everyone knew who @Marten was. "How could this have happened?", shouted @Den, The Seer from Featsbitriks. "It must've been the humans!", said @Leilabra Cadabra looking at @Human Observer Bob with suspicion. "We should burn him!", suggested @Stein of the Pyres excitedly, also looking at the observer. "Calm down! We will figure out who did this and avenge him!" boomed @Supreme Sorcerer Suso over the chaos, trying to bring back order, but to no avail. "We will continue this in 06-May-22 10:00 PM, when everyone has calmed down a bit," he finally said, "there's plenty of evidence that we need to discuss to figure out who is responsible." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= The game has started! @Magic Folk (edited)

Night 1 | The Evidence "Has everyone calmed down a bit?", asked @Supreme Sorcerer Suso upon his return to the room full of shouting sorcerers. Clearly they had not, however that wasn't about to stop him from speaking. "There is quite a bit of evidence, but it seems likely a group of witches and wizards of various kinds overwhelmed him while he was asleep." "Meow," spoke @The Sorceress' Cat in outrage. "I agree with him, how dare you insinuate one of us did this!", followed up @Scul Wyzart. "This is what evidence shows," defended @Supreme Sorcerer Suso. "What did you find?", asked @Bemocus Pocus after the room had finally quieted down. @Supreme Sorcerer Suso pulled several objects of a tiny pouch and showed them. "A spellbook, a broken potion bottle as well as an arrow, but what's even worse is that not only had patches of his skin turned black, but he had also clearly been mauled by a werewolf." "Tomorrow we will vote on a @Judge (> 15) to find whoever was responsible. Now get some rest and return in 07-May-22 12:00 PM," he finally said before leaving. With the session closed everyone started heading towards where they'd spend the night uneasily. If the murderers could be amidst them, would they strike again? If @Marten couldn't stop them, could anyone? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Next Election: Mayor / @Judge (> 15) CC Limit: 4 @Magic Folk (edited)

Day 1 | Missing Person "Good morning everyone, today we will vote on a @Judge (> 15)," began @Supreme Sorcerer Suso, "below your seats you should all find a ballot, so you can cast your vote." "Why is @Vera, Druid of the Spring missing from the ballot?", @Risabu Runewyck noticed. And indeed, for some reason they were missing from all the ballots. "Someone must have used magic," suspected @Supreme Sorcerer Suso, "@Thomas, Warlock from Sirdia you were responsible for detecting any uses of magic. Did you notice anything?" "No, I cast a very good spell to stop all the sorcery from working during the conclave and my spell is very good and very sorcery it would never fail. Absolutely nobody could have possibly cast any spell. For sure," @Thomas, Warlock from Sirdia claimed, "I suppose it must've been an error from whoever made the ballots. Definitely." And so @Vera, Druid of the Spring would not be votable today. A bit unconvinced everyone started reading through the ballot, until suddenly a voice was heard in the room. "ፕሁ ቻልርጎነ ዐየሁነ ቿጎሁነ," it whispered ominously, "ክሁጠቿዪሁነ ሁክሁነ." Everyone started looking for where it came from, but there was no perceivable source. "ነርሁረ ሠሃጊልዪፕ," it finally finished. "That sounded like @Scul Wyzart's name," @Enchanto the Enchanter spoke, and the other @Magic Folk agreed, however where was @Scul Wyzart. "I'll allow one of you to cast a spell to check on @Scul Wyzart, just one exception," @Thomas, Warlock from Sirdia allowed, "@Anna, Witch of Mystford will you do it? Tell us where @Scul Wyzart is." @Anna, Witch of Mystford quickly cast a spell, but her face changed to shock. "He is... dead," she finally spoke. Chaos broke out in the room immediately. "The murderers are in here with us!", @Harp the Spellbinder shouted. "We are all going to die," @First Exorcist, Ethanian added. "This conclave was a mistake," @Kauzor, Summoner of Turtles claimed, having arrived to the conclave just shortly before this meeting started. At this point he wasn't sure if it wouldn't have been better to have his apprentice, @Conjurer Merturer continue to represent him here, however now it was too late. "Something needs to be done!", @Enchanto the Enchanter shouted over the chaos. "You are right @Enchanto the Enchanter," @Supreme Sorcerer Suso said, "today we will figure out who was responsible and then we will strip them of their magic and exile them, a fate worse than death." And so there would be two votes today. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Died: @Scul Wyzart Sabotaged @Vera, Druid of the Spring Election: Mayor / @Judge (> 15) CC Limit: 5 Substituted: @Kauzor, Summoner of Turtles for @Conjurer Merturer (edited)

Night 1 | Justice "We've counted the ballots," @Supreme Sorcerer Suso announced, "our @Judge (> 15) will be @Mat Crowsbane. She will now proceed to announce our first person selected for exile. Justice will be served." "Thanks for voting for me!", @Mat Crowsbane begins, "the first person chosen for exile is @Swurt the Legendary, we will now begin with..." but she got interrupted as a sickly looking @The Prophet of Dusk came running into the room. He hadn't been invited so it was strange for him to be here. "The words you must heed, of those from the old, lest you all will bleed, now you must act bold," he announced to the room of confused @Magic Folk. "Their voices you hear, at the dusk and dawn. If you hide in fear, you will be a pawn," he continued. "Meow?", asked a confused @The Sorceress' Cat, but @The Prophet of Dusk ignored her question and continued, "Where the sun rises, it does not lie there; final dusk passes, it is not the lair." @Quantowmancer began trying to remove him from the room, not liking any intruders, but @The Prophet of Dusk continued as if nothing happened. "Where it never goes by, does not rise nor set, and heights it does defy, there it is: your threat," he finished. Then he collapsed, dead. Shaken by the events, but not willing to stop the ongoing exile process, @Mat Crowsbane continued, "As I was saying, we will now strip @Swurt the Legendary of their magic. With yet another @Magic Folk dead, we can't waste any time; we must act now." The @Judge (> 15) @Mat Crowsbane and several other @Magic Folk had tied down @Swurt the Legendary and were now chanting around them. "Please, stop this madness," they begged, but nobody was listening. Through the entire process @Swurt the Legendary was screaming in pain and was visibly aging. Everyone could only hope, that they wouldn't be next. And, then it was done. @Swurt the Legendary was no longer a member of the @Magic Folk. They were just another powerless human now. Someone dragged the now defenseless former magic folk out of the room and into exile. Everyone knew @Swurt the Legendary's exile wouldn't last very long, a @Magic Folk without magic wouldn't be able to live for much longer, it was as sure as a death sentence as any. The @Judge (> 15) then moved on to the final announcement of the day. "Tomorrow we will meet again, and we will find another one of the murders. Come back 08-May-22 12:00 PM." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Exiled: @Swurt the Legendary @Judge (> 15): @Mat Crowsbane CC Limit: 6 There has also been a rule change. Night 2 | First Doubts & Angry Words "The next election is today! We will be electing a @Reporter," the @Judge (> 15) @Mat Crowsbane announced. "End the threat. That is our highest priority, so another person will be exiled today," she continued. "Is everyone still alive?", @Stein of the Pyres asked, "No, @Shapeshifter Jay is missing, as is @First Exorcist, Ethanian ," came a reply. "In @First Exorcist, Ethanian 's room I found his body. He had been killed by a magical arrow, however nothing in @Shapeshifter Jay's room, besides a bow without any arrows.", they continued. "Dont worry!", announced @Mat Crowsbane, "another one of the murderers will be exiled today. Soon, it will be over." "Trust in me, and I won't let you down. Now, who should be the @Reporter?" The room began to get filled with more and more conversations, the @Magic Folk discussing who should be @Reporter. "Deceiver!", called one @Magic Folk another, one who had only yesterday claimed to support their bid for @Reporter, but was now planning to run themselves. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Died: @Shapeshifter Jay, @First Exorcist, Ethanian (by @Shapeshifter Jay) Revealed: @Shapeshifter Jay as Huntress Election: @Reporter CC Limit: 7 (edited)

Night 3 | A Reporter "Thank you all for voting for me!", announced @The Arch-Alchemist the new @Reporter, "I know many of you have come here from far away, the oceans, Surseto and Heart's Bay in the west, Mystford, Ankardia and Sirdia in the north, from Scoria to Glimford and even Featsbitriks in the far east, and even Sinluv, Quagyn and Bolo in the south. @Enchanto the Enchanter I know you rarely leave Sinluv, and yet you have come here. @Sharl Imposbl, the Trickster you haven't been see outside the far east in years, and yet you are here now. @Vera, Druid of the Spring, I've heard your tales from the oceans in the west, and as great as they were, still you came here. This conclave will not be a waste of your time. Me and the @Judge (> 15) will make sure of it. We will bring justice to those that are responsible. Take my word for it. @Marten will not remain unavenged for long." Now the @Judge (> 15) took over, "However, we have some bad news for you. You may have already noticed that @Crokras the Damned Wizard never arrived to the conclave. We have only now found out that he too was another victim of the murderers, and we have pretty clear evidence to believe it was the same person that murdered @Marten; Crokras's magical arrows had all been stolen. It must have been an attempt to frame him." "However, they won't get away with this. Today we have found another one of those criminals: @Stein of the Pyres," she continued. "With one of the pieces of evidence clearly being a way to trick us that must mean there were only four murderers, this is the second one we've discovered, so only two remain. There have been many odd occurences at this conclave, the murders, the prophecy and many others, but tomorrow we will find these criminals and end this once and for all." Then it was time to take @Stein of the Pyres's magic. He started screaming in pain, "ShHhpSjeOjptyeayl!" he screamed in pain. But the @Judge (> 15) and @Reporter continued undisturbed. "ShhdThjSRyHjfiwjro," he continued screaming, but nobody listened to him. Just as the last of his magic was about to leave him, he managed one final incantation: "ጠቿ ጎክ ጎኗክቿጠ!" and the effect was immediate. Even bound and with barely any magic left @Stein of the Pyres famous for his pyromancy had managed one final spell. His body went up in flames, draining the last of his magic from him and killing him almost immediately. He had chosen to die as a @Magic Folk, rather than to die in exile. (edited)

Day 3 | Double Death "Today is a terrible day," the @Judge (> 15) announces, "Not only has our @Reporter @The Arch-Alchemist died, but also @Anna, Witch of Mystford" "Today we will have to find a new @Reporter and we will find yet another one of the murderers responsible. Before our @Reporter died, they managed to give me a note. It reads: As the Ranger I have managed to find the true identify of one other Magic Folk: Magician Kru'Tha Erhs is a Direwolf.." "We will find the murderers and bring them to justice. It is as sure as that the sun rises in the east, and sets in the west. They will not escape justice." "Even with all the murders ongoing, we have never stopped investigations into @Marten's death. We have now been able to discover that he was not truly mauled by a werewolf. It seems like it may have merely been a plain wolf. The implication is that then it can only have been 3 murderers. The third of which we shall find today." And that concluded the meeting in the great hall. As everyone began to leave they heard a voice, "ዐየዐዪፕቿፕ ሀዐነ የዪዐዘጎጌቿዪቿ," it urged them. "ክቿ ጠልኗጎርልቿ ጠዐዪጎ," it tried to get them to listen. Night 4 | It's over... is it? "Today we have finally found the third of the murderers!", proclaims the @Judge (> 15) @Mat Crowsbane. "With him gone, we will have finally avenged @Marten!", a bold statement to make, but perhaps a true one? Her speech got interrupted, by @Harp the Spellbinder entering the room, arriving late, carrying a huge stack of empty potion bottles. "I'm sorry for interrupting, but I noticed that merchant next door was selling potion bottles for a very low price, I just had to buy some," she apologized. "Those potion bottles... they look exactly like the one we found in @Marten's house. The murderer must have bought the bottles from the very same merchant...", @Supreme Sorcerer Suso noticed. "Anyway, it is time to continue. Our new @Reporter will be @The Sorceress' Cat and we will exile @Sorcerer Kreh'Sath Uhr today," @Mat Crowsbane continued. "We should dump that evil man in the mountains in the north!", somebody exclaimed, "a @Magic Folk without magic stands no chance to defy the heights. They will surely find a painful death there!" "A good suggestion," @Mat Crowsbane said, "however a bit too complicated. We will simply dump him in front of our doors and he'll surely find his death. A @Magic Folk without magic will not live long. It is as sure as the fact that the sun rises." Then, they brought @Sorcerer Kreh'Sath Uhr in. He was only wearing rags, the @Judge (> 15)'s helpers must have captured him earlier in the day. His attempt to change his name clearly having failed. Then they took his magic. A defeated @Sorcerer Kreh'Sath Uhr was then dragged out of the building and dumped on the streets. It was over. The last murderer had been found. Day 4 | More Death Everyone arrived to the meeting in black clothes. What had happened to everyone's clothes? Had one person pranked everyone else? The @Judge (<= 15) @Mat Crowsbane began the meeting, "today @Marten's body has finally been sent back On to his original home. A ship has set sail south, accross the equator to quagyn. I hope he will find peace in the capital of the lands of the sun, sentia. Our final investigation into his murder has yielded one final clue. The spellbook we found seems to have been stolen from another sorcerer." "But there are also bad news: @Leilabra Cadabra, @Sorceress Meuh and @Quantowmancer have died, meaning at least one more of the murderers must be alive. One more Person here is one of the murderers. Today we will find them, and end this one and for all." "I Know it may be difficult to trust at this point. Which is why we will elect a @Guardian today. No Snow, no murder now storm will stop us from bringing justice!" Everyone raised their Mug to clink them. "We will find the murderers, i believe in you!", @Sharl Imposbl, the Trickster said to the @Judge (<= 15), greately appreciating her words. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Died: @Leilabra Cadabra, @Sorceress Meuh, @Quantowmancer CC Limit: 11 Election: @Guardian (edited)

The End @The Captain of Wizardry, @Harp the Spellbinder, @Thomas, Warlock from Sirdia, @Den, The Seer from Featsbitriks, @Enchanto the Enchanter, @Risabu Runewyck, @Bemocus Pocus were waiting in the great hall. Most of them still were annoyed about their clothes being dyed black. Where was everyone else? But they wouldn't need to wait for long. What they didn't know is that the Werewolves and Hags had made a secret pact. Both groups knew they themselves were innocent of @Marten's death, and they decided to trust each other. So it must've been the others, they concluded. @Supreme Sorcerer Suso and @Vera, Druid of the Spring stormed into the room in werewolf form, surprising those already there, quickly followed by @Kauzor, Summoner of Turtles who started throwing spells at the surprised @Magic Folk, instantly killing @Den, The Seer from Featsbitriks. Clearly the magic stopping shield couldn't stop this much power... if it ever worked in the first place. They were followed by @Sharl Imposbl, the Trickster, @The Sorceress' Cat, and to the surprise of many, even their @Judge (<= 15), @Mat Crowsbane. They too, quickly joined the attack. Before anyone could stop them, they were overwhelmed. @Vera, Druid of the Spring had lethally injured @Harp the Spellbinder during the short fight, but the remaining @Magic Folk were captured alive. "You framed us! We've been nothing but upstanding members of the @Magic Folk for all of history, and now you kill @Marten, plant evidence in his house and dare to accuse us of murdering him!", @Sharl Imposbl, the Trickster accused the bound @Magic Folk. "I know nothing of @Marten's murder, except that is must have been you!", @The Captain of Wizardry shouted back in contempt. But, @Supreme Sorcerer Suso, still in werewolf form quickly took his life, stopping his accusations. The remaining @Magic Folk looked scared by this turn of events, and when @Sharl Imposbl, the Trickster began to speak again it did not do much to alleviate their fears, "The remaining four of you we won't kill, no, we'll do what the conclave has done to two of our own: @Swurt the Legendary and @Sorcerer Kreh'Sath Uhr. We'll take your magic and exile you." And so they began the process. @Bemocus Pocus was screaming in pain from the process, @Enchanto the Enchanter was crying. @Risabu Runewyck would never see his exile, for they were quickly dead, his body failing with the loss of magic. The remaining three now magicless @Magic Folk were no longer a concern for the werewolves and hags. The process may not have killed them, but without magic they wouldn't live for much longer. @Sharl Imposbl, the Trickster dumped them onto the streets and then returned to the hall. "We've done it! @Marten's murderers have been killed... and perhaps a few innocent people as well, but there's nothing that can be done about that now," @Supreme Sorcerer Suso announced. And then the werewolves and hags began to party. They were safe now. The party lasted long into the night and everyone got rather drunk, celebrating the new friendship between the werewolves and hags. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The Werewolves Win (edited)

The True Ending It was late, but the hags and the werewolves were still partying. Their belief in having found the murderers and all the alcohol may have weakened their senses and powers, but six @Magic Folk were still a force to be reckoned with. Optimally, the number would have been lower, but six was nothing compared to the original 26. The werewolves had made one fatal oversight. Taking the magic of someone with no magic hardly harms them. Neither was the absence of @Human Observer Bob noticed. "We're almost there, get your crossbows ready," commanded @Human Observer Bob to the small group he lead, "we need to be fast." Eventually, we reached the door to the great hall, and opened it. Immediately I aimed my crossbow at @Supreme Sorcerer Suso and shot. @Human Observer Bob shot at @Kauzor, Summoner of Turtles, our group quickly following and shooting at different @Magic Folk each. -=- Bad Ending -=- Before they knew what had happened, each of them had been hit at least once. They tried to put up a fight, but injured and drunk as they were, what little bit of magic they were able to throw at us, was easy to dodge. We quickly took care of those that survived the crossbow bolts. We had done it. The 26 greatest sorcerers, all gone now. Nothing stood between us and my goal of ridding the world of magic now. The remaining lesser @Magic Folk left in the world we could easily hunt down in the coming months. The biggest threat was always the greatest of the @Magic Folk, many of which were impossible to track down by regular means. The time of magic was over. Never again would the @Magic Folk be able to use their magic to supress against the regular people. -=- Good Ending -=- @Supreme Sorcerer Suso reacted immediately, expect this. Transforming into his werewolf form he dodged out of the way. @Kauzor, Summoner of Turtles immediately conjured up a shield to block the other bolts. @Vera, Druid of the Spring and @Sharl Imposbl, the Trickster also transformed, racing towards the door after @Supreme Sorcerer Suso. The werewolves soon ripped apart the defenseless humans, their crossbows not yet reloaded, while the hags provided support with their spells. Soon, all the intruders were dead, including @Thomas, Warlock from Sirdia and @Human Observer Bob. Their plot to rid the world of magic had failed. (edited)
