D5 | Dawn on the Country of the Companions
For the few companions left, life seemed very bleak. In a desperate attempt to stop the motorcycle gang from getting into the camp, they had chosen someone to keep watch last night. However, as roll was called, their spirits began to lift. No-one was missing - could it be that this debacle was over.
They were close to celebrating when Mayor Jean pointed out that they'd never relieved the watchman of his shift, and it wouldn't be a proper celebration without the self-proclaimed life of the party, Anderson. The new Investigator, Ritter Frosch, went over to get him.
The companions began to prepare for a party, but were interrupted by Frosch's yell. Their hearts sank. They all knew what he had found.
Frosch came jogging over. "Should we bury his body?" he asked, but the Mayor shook her head.
"Something tells me that we will have no need to. I still want someone to be sacrificed for this crime, though - and a new Armourer chosen to protect us."
Abandoned by the grieving companions, the few ragged streamers gathered up for the party fluttered in the wind.
