iirc, there are 2 "modes"

i believe usually, it doesn't override, but it's just to prove that you aren't inactive/if you're survivor, then you have to vote in the polls (if not, then you die), so if you don't want to vote anyone, then you vote abstain

the other "mode" is that there's an override, though i don't think this is in effect (edited)

Abstain = doesn't override, it basically means that you don't want to vote but you're not inactive Cancel = overrides, so you vote so that no one gets lynched (edited)
