There needs to be a role called Spartan and whenever a wolf tries to eat them they respond "this is (name of town)" and kicks them into a really deep hole that is around for no reason and can only be killed by the rest of the innocents shooting him with arrows.(edited)
Randium 16-Nov-17 01:15
😂 😂 😂
Thrimian 16-Nov-17 01:16
Oh... That'd be too op wouldn't it...(edited)
Ooo maybe if we get a big enough group we could have a vampire role that could either kill or force their victim to join their ranks every night and would be at war with the werewolves. Their goal would be to kill all werewolves and convert all innocents
They cannot convert werewolves. So they have the choice to kill or convert and if it's a werewolf and they chose convert then nothing happens.
Vyryn 16-Nov-17 05:35
I suggest a role, djinn who can choose after the third night to pick someone and "clone" their role (they wouldn't know what role they choose in advance, unless they work it out logically)
@Randium @ciphercobra deserves a special Season 1 role for bieng the first to be killed
Legolas 16-Nov-17 05:52
haha
and you the biggest fail 😛
Vyryn 16-Nov-17 05:54
lol
Legolas 16-Nov-17 05:54
hehe
Vyryn 16-Nov-17 05:54
This post totally didn't say anything.(edited)
Legolas 16-Nov-17 05:54
hahaha
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 07:54
To kick off the game, have the host as an unmentioned innocent and the host gets eaten by the wolves the first night. That way it gets the storyline going but everyone can participate for the first hanging.
Randium 16-Nov-17 07:55
Yeah, that sounds cool.
Althought that's pretty much equivalent to starting the game with a hanging, without any clues, right?
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 08:00
Well the clue would be the death of an innocent, just not a player. Just trying to think of a way for Cobra, or rather someone in Cobras position, to be able to participate in at least 1 voting before being killed off
But yeah, essentially starting in the day and not night.
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 10:50
Assassin/Vigilantee: Innocent side, but can kill a player of their choice each night, or every x nights.

Priest: Innocent that can revive one player per game. Use your ability wisely

Magistrate: (Elected role) Announces the name of 1 player each morning. That player cannot be hanged

Guardian: Sends a name to the host each day. That player cannot be killed by a wolf that night. This is not announced to the wolves for their vote, so if they choose to kill the named player it is simply announced that no player was killed that night
Randium 16-Nov-17 10:51
The Magistrate is very interesting. I like it.
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 10:51
Could be tweaked to make it a hidden roll similar to the guardian
Or the guardian could be an elected roll.
However it best fits the group size and other rolls that are being used
Randium 16-Nov-17 10:53
Yeah, indeed.
I like the Assassin as well, but we've also got The gang.
They should easily go together in one game, but that too depends on the size of the game.
It will make stuff more interesting though, 'cause it will also raise the question whether someone was truly killed by the werewolves, or by another party.
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 10:54
Yeah, the rolls used will vary depending on the player size
Randium 16-Nov-17 10:54
I've also played this game before in a Harry Potter-style, and there one player had the basilisk role.
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 10:54
Or if the assassin and wolves end up choosing the same player to kill
Randium 16-Nov-17 10:55
Once every two nights, they can send a list of people with roles. The basilisk can choose himself how many people are on the list.
If he guesses of all the people on the list their names correctly, then those players get "stoned". Which means that you're dead until the basilisk is dead, after which you get revived.
It's quite interesting, 'cause it makes you careful about whom you share your information with.
Another role they had was the dementor, but that one was too overpowered.
The dementor was on the team of the death eaters (werewolves), but he didn't know who the werewolves were.
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 10:57
Interesting
Randium 16-Nov-17 10:57
Each night, the dementor could name a person. That person would become a death-eater as well.
If the person the dementor pointed at already was a death eater, then nothing happens.
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 10:59
Hmm... you could mitigate the roll being overpowered by starting with a much smaller death eater/werewolf base
To an extent(edited)
Randium 16-Nov-17 10:59
There was also the Phoenix role. If the Phoenix chooses a player during the night, they will no longer be a Death eater, if they got turned into it by the dementor. If they choose a player that already was a death eater or wasn't turned by the dementor yet, nothing would happen.
That is true, and that's what happened in the game, but the problem is that the innocents can only kill one person per day.
Randium 16-Nov-17 11:00
So even if the innocents chose a death eater ever day, the amount of death eaters would not decrease, because the dementor will turn one person every night.
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 11:01
And the Phoenix role guessing blindly doesn't mitigate it much either. Maybe make the dementor only able to use his powers every 2nd or 3rd night...
Randium 16-Nov-17 11:02
Yeah, indeed.
But I'll only add the dementor if we get a super crazy giant group.
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 11:02
Lol true
Randium 16-Nov-17 11:02
So, get to work and invite people! We're currently at 7 signees. 😛
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 11:03
Make the fortune teller see the actual roll instead of a positive/negative feedback. Then add the fool
Randium 16-Nov-17 11:03
Yee.
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 11:04
Fool: is told he has the fortune teller roll, but is given a random roll instead of a true roll. If the fortune teller or fool selects the other, they will always be told the other is the fool
I'm sure you knew that, but for others that may not 😉
Randium 16-Nov-17 11:14
Wait... huh?
So... the fool is a fake fortune teller, or something?
They think they're a fortune teller, but whenever they ask for a person, they get a random answer, or something?
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 11:15
oh, you didn't know after all?
yes, that's correct
Randium 16-Nov-17 11:16
No. I've never heard of that role.
But does it stay consistent?
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 11:16
so neither knows for sure if their rolls they see are true or not
Randium 16-Nov-17 11:16
I mean, if you ask two nights in a row for a person's role, do they get another random answer, or will it be the same as the night before?
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 11:16
the true fortune teller always gets the true roll
of someone they see
the fool always gets a random roll
it may or may not be correct, pure randomness
but as neither can know which is the true fortune teller or which is the fool
they cannot know if their rolls are accurate or not
well, until later in the game if they compare with the reporter. If the reporter is being honest that it
so even then it's not guaranteed
Randium 16-Nov-17 11:19
That's already clear. I only asked if the roles stay consistent for the fool.
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 11:19
oh, sorry. Got carried away lol
Randium 16-Nov-17 11:20
Hahaha, I see. 😄
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 11:20
Well, I think if the fool requested the same person then yeah it would have to get the same answer as before.
otherwise it would be too easy to tell
Randium 16-Nov-17 11:21
Yeah, true. 🤔
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 11:25
Although, you could decide to give another random answer if you wanted. The actual Fortune teller still wouldn't know, unless they figured out who the fool was and got together...(edited)
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 12:21
That's the beauty of it, all the roles can be tweaked to make a completely different game every time
Buddy1913 16-Nov-17 12:28
When we played in our scout group. We had a player be a holy man or spiritual man. Their only perk above a innocent was that they would be able to fight off one warewolf attack, once. And glimpse the number of shadowy figures. The idea was to give the innocents a free night to give them another day to try and catch another wolf.(edited)
It's up to them to reveal if they were attacked or not.(edited)
Legolas 16-Nov-17 02:55
I want to add reactions to the messages in #outdated_how_to_play
Buddy1913 16-Nov-17 03:02
What were you looking to add?
Legolas 16-Nov-17 03:04
Buddy1913 16-Nov-17 03:17
I'm gonna go ahead and say unlikely
But up to randium
Plus the fact I'm not sure if I can do that
Legolas 16-Nov-17 03:37
you should
Lord of Galaxy 16-Nov-17 05:38
So do I get Death as my nickname?
Thrimian 16-Nov-17 05:47
The game masters will change nicknames for the games when they commence
Lord of Galaxy 16-Nov-17 05:51
Ah, ok
Thrimian 16-Nov-17 05:57
Yeah last game I was Mr. Thrim I. Ann
I'm hoping for something better this go around lol
Legolas 16-Nov-17 06:00
haha
JR [FFF] 16-Nov-17 06:16
Lego had a ridiculously long name haha
And I was simply Jay Arr
Randium 16-Nov-17 06:58
Yeah, it's hard to come up with good names that resemble everyone's usernames.
Thrimian 16-Nov-17 08:01
That's why you shouldn't try and match usernames. Just make them up as you go or ask us in a dm for suggestions
Thrimian 16-Nov-17 11:05
Maybe you should add the total amount of players signed up to the game below the names.
Buddy1913 16-Nov-17 11:06
like that?
Thrimian 16-Nov-17 11:07
Yes!
Perfect!
ville 16-Nov-17 11:08
👌
Thrimian 16-Nov-17 11:08
Helps you guys out with totals for gameplay and us out to see how many players are playing and how long of a game it could be.
Buddy1913 16-Nov-17 11:54
i'd say it's likely to be 1 day per 2 players +/- 3 days(edited)
Vyryn 17-Nov-17 01:19
I have to say, one gm, whoever it is, is absolutely necessary. We can't have two gms.
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 01:22
And why is it you feel that way?
Vyryn 17-Nov-17 01:23
It doesn't matter if its you or Randium or anyone else, as long as there is just one
Rule #1 of being a GM: what the GM says goes. If there are two GMs, inevitably conflict will arise. Even if neither of you slips up and gives something away - which Randium did do last game, even though he was the only GM - there will be an undermining of authority which will breed disagreements amongst players. This will mean the long-term downfall of the community, whatever the intentions.
The GM can change every game or not at all, but it can't be shared.
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 01:28
Well that's where the whole chain of command comes in. I'm merely assisting in administration of things such as creation of channels and management of the end of day votes(edited)
So there's less chance of repeats of the unexpected extentions
Vyryn 17-Nov-17 01:30
And if you make a decision and later on Randium changes it?
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 01:32
I'm not making decisions. Strictly keeping things running smoothly. Like keeping dead or non participants from voting. Keeping record of events and responding to things like the fortune teller questions.(edited)
And as such I can only say what has already been said,
The ultimate authority rests with Randium
Is this still a problem. Though admittedly game master is not the most accurate title
More, assistant
One person will not be able to run the game by themselves as it grows
Much as we have been looking at new ideas and aspects we will need some form of conditions for an administration team also. And it's important for it to be in place early
Vyryn 17-Nov-17 02:11
I suppose there is no harm in trying it once.
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 06:26
I think it's better. Randium, like all other players, has a real life outside of this game as well and cannot always be on to facilitate the voting at the exact voting time, or if players want to make a conspiracy channel and Randium is unable to log on it would be beneficial for an alternate person to help assist with that
Lord of Galaxy 17-Nov-17 06:26
Suggestion - display the signed up people seperately from the others. (In Discord members left)
*list
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 06:27
How would you do that?
Also, they are listed in story time channel
Lord of Galaxy 17-Nov-17 06:28
Er, in roles
Just set display seperately to true.
Though the offline ones still come in the same place.
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 06:30
Good point, I've never messed with adjusting roles so not sure how it works tbh
But I think it was also brought up last game as well
Lord of Galaxy 17-Nov-17 06:31
Oh
Ok
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:12
Winter Knight, embed by the queens of the fae. He is wolvish in his preditory but strong of will and stronger than any mortal . Also no pain is felt besides iron. Can survive in the harshest cold and breath underwater.
Falls the orders of his queen. And wields a magical staff and a leather duster protected from bullets, burns, bites, also a stylish black cowboy hat
Basically this pic
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:15
Ok. But one question. How does your role your proposing fit into the others
Is it an additional warewolf? An innocent?
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:16
He can fight the werewolf
Or be innocent
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:16
Sounds very similar to the white wolf
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:16
Ties in with the fortune teller and oracle
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:16
I like the back story to it though
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:17
That's what he looks like
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:17
Interesting
Does he have a special ability?
For the game play I mean
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:18
Ok so what perks does this class have? Can they survive one encounter with the wolves at night of they elect to try and take whomever holds this role? Do they elect to guard someone from wolves at the risk that if they pick a wolf to guard they will be killed?
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:18
Hmm
Ok gimme a sec to write my thoughts
On a perk
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:19
The onus of the game is that no one knows who is what.
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:19
Don't get me wrong here, I love the idea! But each new role has to have a special ability that can alter the game in some way
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:19
In the beginning anyway
If you look at the existing roles you can get an idea of what kind of things you can do.
Personally I'm all for an innocent that makes the wolves lives more difficult. Provided it is not unbalanced
But the decision is not mine to make
Randium 17-Nov-17 11:22
I think @Malreath doesn't understand the game well enough. It sounds as if he's trying to create a roleplaying character.
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:22
A possible perk could be that since he is wolfish in nature he can if attacked by the wolves, he will make them submit to his will and then become the alpha and join them, or on the flip side. He joins the innocent and for one night whenever a wolf attacks anyone he appears in the center of town. Bangs down his staff and calls out to all nature, to shield the innocent for a day
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:22
Ok.
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:22
How's that sound?
Also he is my dream rp main
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:23
I'd reccomend taking a step back and re-reading the information channel #outdated_how_to_play
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:23
Also my favorite book series by Jim butcher
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:23
Mind if I take a stab at a role based on the info you have given?
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:23
Have at it
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:24
While we encourage roleplay in the story your goal is to win. However you cannot directly influence the way others play theirs with your role.(edited)
Only with your words
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:24
Love what I did with the backstory hehe
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:26
It does sound good but I'm trying to work out how it would fit into the game. These are not role play characters per-se
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:26
Understood
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:28
For example. The fortune teller is an Innocent whom can ask the game masters in their private channel the alignment of one person every night phase.

The cursed civilian is an innocent to start but of is eaten by the warewolves becomes a warewolf themselves.
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:28
Let's see what Jr thinks
I'm honestly curios
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:29
The white warewolf is a warewolf, will know all other wolves but their own goal is to be the sole survivor
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:31
Extra strength and magical, protected from burns, bites, ect., hmm...

Winter Knight: (Innocent team) Has the magical effect of being immune to werewolf attacks. Can only be killed by hanging
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:32
Sounds good so far
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:32
Hmm.
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:33
If attacked, the wolves will know who he is, but have to figure out how to convince the town to hang him
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:33
That seems a bit too much of a boon
But maybe
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:34
True, he would not be allowed to mention his role. Or, he could but then again the wolves could also claim to hold that role as well
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:35
I'll tell randium to take a look but being completely invincible to the wolves defeats the point
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:35
I got it! He is told he is an innocent and doesn't know he is immune
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:35
Oooohhhhh
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:35
Hmm....
Randium 17-Nov-17 11:35
Well, a role that is used commonly is the role of the player who can get killed by the wolves, but will escape the wolves on the first attempt.
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:35
I like that
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:36
That way he can't just come out and announce his ability
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:36
Something similar to that has been reccomendded before by a few people. So that would make sense
Randium 17-Nov-17 11:36
True, but I'm not sure if we should give people roles without even knowing themselves what roles they have.
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:37
We arnt.
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:37
It would be interesting
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:37
Like I said before all roles are randomised at the start of play
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:37
Well, it would be similar to the fool role I mentioned previously...
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:37
He would then go to the oracle and fortunately to explain why he didn't die?
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:38
Well he wouldnt know he was attacked
So the town will have to decide if the cursed civilian was eaten or not...
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:38
At present there is only one "silent" night
Adding more would be interesting
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:38
?
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:39
Every morning at the start of the day phase the person killed by the wolves overnight is announced.
A silent night is when there is no announcement because no one died
Randium 17-Nov-17 11:39
I like it as well to have more silent nightz.
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:40
There can be more silent nights, where the wolves purposely decide to not kill anyone
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:40
Yes but it's highly unlikely
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:40
But we didn't see that last game
Randium 17-Nov-17 11:40
Maybe we could add a role that has to make a prediction of who will get killed by the werewolves. If the prediction is right, then that player will be saved.
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:40
Like the guard role?
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:40
Tie into the staff and calling apun winter to force the wolves away before the killed the person the choose
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:40
Sounds like the guardian role
Randium 17-Nov-17 11:41
Yeah, pretty much.
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:41
Thanks for making the suggestion Mal. This is quite the discussion
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:41
I like it
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:41
Except the name would be given in secret and not a public announcement
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:42
And I'm glad it's adding more ideas brewing
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:42
Always fun to brainstorm a new role
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:42
I'll sit with Randium and see what the feeling is.
We don't want to flood the game with roles after all(edited)
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:42
Actually using the role however might be a different story
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:43
Also if anyone knows a simi fantasy rp I could join with that character that would be sweet
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:44
We have tons of roles to choose from, but the game masters have to look at the size of the player base, the ability of each role, and find a good combination of roles that keep a good balance of the team's without giving one team an overpowering advantage over the other team
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:44
True true
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:44
Well like I said. This is not an RP focused game. Sure it's an element if you want it to be but not a requirement.
Your role also does not have to match your roleplay
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:45
Ye
Know any discord server with a fantasy rp to it
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:45
Randium was surprised actually at how everyone last game started role playing, had to make a seperate channel for it lol
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:46
I wouild have no idea where to find it
It's fun to get into a role and act like it's u
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:46
Yeah, I played an old man last game
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:46
If u remember the picture I sent
I recently got a duster like it
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:47
And I played the local Lord
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:47
I love it lol
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:48
That looks nice but please refrain from posting photos that don't really need to be posted.
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:48
Will do
If u want to delay go ahead
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:48
Smashing
No. Just advice.
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:49
Smashing?
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:49
As there is not currently an off topic out of character channel(edited)
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:49
Looks cool ehh
U can delete it if u want , no harm done
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:51
Actually, those channels have been locked under S1 archives
But I'm sure S2 channels will be made for those purposes
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:52
Hmm
Mind deleting it if u Can?
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:53
Done
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:53
Tanks
Thank u
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 11:54
You can delete your own posts
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:54
Pics as well
?
How would u do it on mobile
JR [FFF] 17-Nov-17 11:55
Long press on the post and an option menu will come up
Malreath 17-Nov-17 11:55
Testing
Can't delete it
Ok
I have to click on my name ish
Buddy1913 17-Nov-17 12:13
Thanks J
Lord of Galaxy 17-Nov-17 01:00
Suggestion - A general channel.
Someplace to ask questions about this server, and talk generally about it.
Randium 17-Nov-17 04:37
That's what #season1_aftermath is for, at the moment.
Lord of Galaxy 17-Nov-17 05:22
Ah, ok
JR [FFF] 19-Nov-17 06:26
Would this person know the roles of the two random innocents? Or just know they are part of the innocent team?
Vyryn 19-Nov-17 06:40
They would know two innocents. Those are the civilians who have no special role
JR [FFF] 19-Nov-17 08:02
Interesting. If he/she uses that knowledge to form a channel with those 2 innocents, they really would have no reason to doubt his claim since he correctly identified them from the beginning. Essentially forming a group of 3 members equivalent to the baker role. I wouldn't use it with a group that already has bakers and cult members though, as having 3 innocent groups may be slightly tipping the scales away from the wolves. I would only add it into a game if only one of the other innocent groups was being utilized
Now, if he just seen 2 innocents, but not their roles, that could make it a challenge to gain their trust. Because then a wolf, who also knows all innocents but not roles, could also try to convince 2 players as well
Vyryn 19-Nov-17 08:05
Hmm, maybe at the vary start given 3 people and knows two are totally innocent and one is a wolf.
JR [FFF] 19-Nov-17 08:07
I don't think anyone should start with the knowledge of a wolf identity.
Vyryn 19-Nov-17 08:11
2 innocents and a random then. the sentiment remains
JR [FFF] 19-Nov-17 08:11
But I do wonder if we could have 2 fortune tellers, in a large enough group of course, that start out knowing each other's identity. They would only be able to use their powers every other day though, so they would have to decide whether to look at 2 people every other day or offset it to look at 1 player a day. Would be an interesting twist on it
Lord of Galaxy 19-Nov-17 08:31
It keeps looking like the scale is being tipped more and more towards the innocents.
JR [FFF] 19-Nov-17 09:14
Well, the scales can be balanced by increasing or decreasing the number of werewolves, the game master can also decide to add a role to a game by removing another role. It's truly up to the game master to ensure the game is balanced by selecting which roles to use and how many of each role to use based on the player size.
Randium 19-Nov-17 09:40
Yeah, indeed. You don't have to worry too much about balance, we'll take care of that for you.
All suggestions are fine, as long as they don't have a winning strategy (or if it's technically impossible for them to win)
JR [FFF] 19-Nov-17 09:43
I got 2 more potential players. Should know by the end of the day if they decide to play or not...
Randium 19-Nov-17 09:50
Awesome!
HurricanKai 19-Nov-17 02:43
Hmm, in my opinion, its better to have more then five Innocents, so i woud have 2 bakers and 5 innocents, because its realy 6 bakers instead of 7, because the cultists (3) are bakers+. so 2 bakers 2 Cultists, 1 Cultist leader, 5 Innocents, Woud make more sense.
MrKukurykpl 19-Nov-17 07:35
if I could suggest, the signed_up role should be slightly brighter, because it seems hard to read on discord dark theme, especially mobile version(edited)
marhjo 19-Nov-17 07:39
^ that right
Randium 19-Nov-17 07:40
Don't worry, you'll lose this role within a few hours. 😋
Vyryn 19-Nov-17 07:48
@Randium why did you change the day to be shorter? It will now be even more difficult for me :(
4am-3pm, while all my free time is 6pm-1am
Randium 19-Nov-17 07:50
That doesn't seem to overlap at all. 🤔 How did you manage to be here when the old scale was being used? 🤔
Vyryn 19-Nov-17 07:51
with difficulty
You will recall I participated in almost no daytime discussions, merely stopped in for a few minutes for vote
Randium 19-Nov-17 07:52
That is true.
But the only way to help you is by changing the timescale drastically, which will make it harder for a lot of other people. 😔
Vyryn 19-Nov-17 07:56
I had a suggestion for that, posted this a while ago https://doodle.com/poll/4gacwzwta4id7pcp
People either didn't understand or weren't very interested in trying to accomodate as many people as possible
BenTechy66 19-Nov-17 08:16
So like um you know when u die u lose all talk permissions?
that sucks
so how about a chat for dead people
that only they can see and send in
marhjo 19-Nov-17 08:16
There is a graveyard chat
Randium 19-Nov-17 08:17
There is a chat for people, don't worry.
BenTechy66 19-Nov-17 08:17
to discuss who's a traitor or whatevs
oh ok
Randium 19-Nov-17 08:17
Yeah, it's not like a permanent ban or something when you die. 😛
BenTechy66 19-Nov-17 08:18
😛
Vyryn 19-Nov-17 08:23
You are asked not to violate the integrity of the game by DMing still alive members, though
BenTechy66 19-Nov-17 08:23
well yes
obvs
Randium 19-Nov-17 08:24
Yeah.
That's what we have Conspiracy channels for.
You may only DM the @Game Masters.
MrKukurykpl 19-Nov-17 08:24
unless you're ded, I s'ppose?
Randium 19-Nov-17 08:24
Nope. Still not allowed.
Vyryn 19-Nov-17 08:24
especially if your dead
Randium 19-Nov-17 08:25
For that, we have the #s2_graveyard channel.
MrKukurykpl 19-Nov-17 08:25
I mean setting up a conspiracy channel with a dead person
Vyryn 19-Nov-17 08:25
nope
Randium 19-Nov-17 08:25
If you're dead, you have more information to share than when you were alive. We do not want you to share information with people who are still alive.
Buddy1913 19-Nov-17 08:25
no. becsue they are dead
Vyryn 19-Nov-17 08:25
well, i suppose you could - but you couldn't talk to them(edited)
So it wouldn't be a very interesting channel 😉
Randium 19-Nov-17 08:25
Being dead is supposed to be a hard line. The dead cannot talk to the living.
Ohhhh, that way.
No, we have set up Discord so that you will lose permission to talk in all channels once you die.
MrKukurykpl 19-Nov-17 08:26
I mean... I do understand that
>unless you're ded, I s'ppose?
Randium 19-Nov-17 08:26
So if you want to tell some stuff to others, you better say it before you're dead.(edited)
Vyryn 19-Nov-17 08:27
Summary:
Don't DM any players except @Game Masters.
If you are dead, do not communicate with the living in any way.
If you are living, you can ask a @Game Master to make any number of conspiracy channels with any other members so you can talk to them without the ohter people.
Randium 19-Nov-17 08:32
Pinned a message.
Freedmoon 19-Nov-17 09:03
we need à overrall channel to talk
Randium 19-Nov-17 09:03
There will be one.
BenTechy66 19-Nov-17 09:09
unlucky @TTEXTT too late. Try again in ~a week(edited)
Thrimian 19-Nov-17 09:17
More like two weeks
Freedmoon 19-Nov-17 09:18
With all thé player
Buddy1913 19-Nov-17 09:18
we are looking at 2 possibly three deaths a day. so it could in theory take as few as 10 days, or as many as 30
Thrimian 19-Nov-17 09:19
If it ends up like last game we may have some stalemates to deal with as well
BenTechy66 19-Nov-17 09:19
what
Thrimian 19-Nov-17 09:21
We had two stalemates at the end of the game that pushed it on for an extra game but they can happen
